The only 'heavier' sounding songs i know are those everyone hates cause they do call Everyday or Undivided or Hook me up --> That in my opionion was a little heavier but doesn't suit Bon Jovi very well.

I guess BJ is at their best when playing songs like Prayer, IML, Wanted, Blaze, LH, Sleep When I'm dead. Now those aren't heavy songs, but they are among the best Bon Jovi stuff.

I'm always affraid when i hear someone say that bon jovi's gonna come out with big guitars and riffs? They don't have riff songs.

You just don't get it, do you? No one was expecting greatly distorted guitars and fast drums ala Motley Crue, Metallica. If we wanted those kind of songs there are other bands to listen to and BJ is not one of them. All this is about is that the band don't try anymore. Let's make a smal comparison between We weren't born to follow and Born to be my baby, because people say they sound alike. Here's the thing: BTBMY is a great song. It might have an ordinary lyrics, but the music is what it's all about. It has a keyboard riff at the begining, then comes the guitar riff. The whole verse is in the key of F#m, and then, in the pre chorus, there comes the modulation and the songs changesto the key of Am. And then there's a guitar solo that's just great. You see, that's what make BTBMY a great song. Now We weren't born to follow. None of the things mentioned about BTBMY are there. Would it kill the band to add a guitar to those empty verses? Would it be too hard to use some other chord sequences and keys? Is it really THAT hard for richie ro play something other than the root notes of the chords for the solo?

This is the problem with the band. They just don't bother anymore. They make music in the simplest form possible album after album. They are not creative anymore.
