Probably not, isn't 12 the magic number? Or 13 for us Europeans.

Obie you should know that we are angry because it's not a rock album, we must take action to be heard, have not been honest with the fans.

Yeah !
You are fired Obie !
and lets fire Jon too..
Lets put them to jail for 2 years and tell them to record the songs
we want.. and Jon to stop whitening his teeth ! And Richie would look better if he lost those few pounds..

We are losing our minds.. C'mon it's only (well..) rock n'roll..
Be cool..

Although i have to admit that it's gonna be difficult to admit that i'm a bon jovi fan with this new single. I remember Have a nice day times - i felt quite o.k. to blast it insanely loud in my car.. This single WWBTF sounds little bit like Kelly Clarkson and Backstreet Boys. I'm 31 and obviously getting too old for making a fool of myself..

Well i'm gonna be undercover fan from now on.
(Shit, i loved my heart and dagger t-shirt so much)..

That's the ****ing saddest thing I've ever read.

rolo_tomachi 08-19-2009 09:34 PM

I am not talking about firing anyone, just make it clear that they have not been honest, which will impact on sales, where it truly hurts.

I do not like they cheated, and it does not take a genius or a soothsayer to know that the album sound a ashley simpson, have 5 ballads of love and all sound simple, stupid and adolescent.

just ask real rock n roll.

in future albums, have to change producer

Few years back i've read somebody's opinion on some site:
bon jovi were finished after "kill'em all..".

Maybe there was some truth in it from this point of view..:D:D:D:D:D

*for the kids out there - "kill'em all.." - iconic Metallica record from the 80's

Wait, a Bon Jovi album with ballads and pop/rock songs... damn, I already own 10 of those.

Who do you expect to actually respond to this question with an actual answer?

samboo 08-19-2009 10:22 PM

Its a Rock song :-D  LOVE IT

BUT here it comes: it's a pop production (a little smooth and no guitar solo)

Love it anyway because the song has a great tempo :-D

Oneill9293 08-19-2009 11:32 PM

I like the song, but as so many people have said in this thred, we need a hard rock album. Think 'Bon Jovi' and '7800 Farenheit' and you're there. We need those screaming solo's, and fair enough Jon can't sing for shit now, but he should try.

They don't listen to their fans. Yes, bands move on, musically, but Metallica's Death Magnetic was brilliant for fans; right back to their roots.

Yeah yeah yeah, BJ aren't Metallica, but it's an example. AC/DC did an alright jon with Black Ice too.

The article posted earlier from the Rolling Stone website, where Richie said the album would be hard rock, should live up to itself come November.

If this album isn't rock, and follows LH (although We Got It Going On was a personal favourite), I certainly won't be going to another concert, even if it's a farewell tour.

Get it sorted, lads.

EDIT: Yeah, what the **** is with no solo?!?!?!?!?!

jbjhand 08-19-2009 11:53 PM

I really like it, its not hard rock but they never were anyway.
As a live song i think it will work great, my guess is there will be rockier tracks on the album. Its radio friendly so thats always a big part of it.
They would never have promoted KTF with if i was your mother!
I have very high hopes for the album based on the two ive heard so far.

I think a lot of people on here will enjoy it and i predict it will be the "best" album since these days, ive not been this excited about a BJ album since waiting for crush. :D

I agree with that Kathleen ! the definitive result is a problem

I have only one wish left when it comes to the record..
Please somebody pass it to the band to make it look as
deluxe as it's only possible. Sort of box set - with great artwork, lyrics, photos.. maybe even bonus dvd with the footage from the studio..

I could pay as much as they want..
as long as they give me something to wait for.

And one thing more.. I hope Richie will get back to playing his fenders..
I'm tired of these ugly ESP's.. He sounds best with his battered three colour sunburst Strat and 51 nocaster.. It makes him play more bluesy i think so i keep
my fingers crossed.

Ps. I just listened to Good Guys dont always.. wouldn't that be nice to find a gem like this on the circle.. That would indeed be a circle !

I noticed the cover right away, pretty good artwork.

I have written to John Shanks and bon jovi this:

"We weren't born to follow" is a radio edit? Where is the guitar solo? Is so ****ing shit, who play it? Bobby Bandiera? you? I hope you repair the guitar solo, you have enough time to made it well.

BIG guitars? HARD drums? heavy chorus? great ROCK album???

16 new tracks, how many ballads? five? six? seven? How many pop tracks? eigth or more?

Please, we need rock as undivided, last man standing, keep the faith, etc...

Why do you return to pop style when so many bands as Foo Fighters, Metallica, Ac/Dc are having success with a hard rock style.

You promised us a great rock album and it seems that you wont keep the promise.

Waiting your answer,

Pd: i think is better win the grammy for a rock album, than the grammy for a pop album.

Been away for a few days and cant read 87 pages!!!!!

I have just heard the 'new' song.. my first reaction is it is repetitive and not a strong song... its ok, catchy but there is nothing that stands out... as they are not good at releasing their best songs I still live in hope for the album.

What happend to the rif rock record ?

Have you noticed?

Is it just me or is there a very familiar sound to this new tune? as in 'Born to be my baby'?
Just Wondering.
(I hope they're gonna have proper solos on this album, getting a little bit worried! )

There is a bit of that. The "We weren't born" bit is the same melody as "You were born". Not coincidentally, this is the best part of the song.

Hmmm. It's playing right now here on the radio. I'm glad for the band that it's getting airplay. But I still don't like the song.

Edited to post that: After playing the new Jovi song, the radio station is now playing Springsteen, Glory Days.

Well, after hearing the song in much better quality and burning it to disc for my first Jovi Driving Mix, I have to say I like the song a lot more now. It's not a great song but it will do what it's supposed to, get causal fans to buy the new album in November. It's catchy and is better than most of Lost Highway and kicks Who Says in the ass. The singles aren't for the die hards anyway. They are released to get radio play and this most certainly will.

Since it was the first song I ever played in my car while driving alone, I will always have a special connection with it. It's no coincidence that the single came out the same week I'm facing my biggest fear. This band has always seen me through tough times, why would this be any different?

You don't have to be a clairvoyant to see how the things turn out :(
It's just the wrong choice for whoever is responsible for that (like on Crush).
Too bad Fairbarn said goodbye too early :(:( He made lots of memorable records and was supposed to produce Crush
