I'm not gonna lie about it, I actually thought that tracklist was believeable and fell for it. The only one that stumped me was Driveway To The Highway.

I didn't believe the 9/11 and tour shit though.

rickysambo 09-12-2009 06:04 PM

I believed it...but only because someone told me it was on bj.com...

About believing whether they could actually have songs by those names,,well i think they can do anything

The person who tweeted this "info" is http://twitter.com/TokyoRockChick/. It just sounds like a re-do of the bits and pieces of news that have already come out to me.

Supersonic 09-13-2009 06:11 PM

Aloha !

It'd be brilliant if the band will do arena's again. It'd mean that they'd be playing 30 minutes from my house. :)

This is Superman Tonight:

(Ok that was lame attempt at humour, but I love FFF and it was the first thing that came to my head:p).

Adam D 09-13-2009 06:43 PM

I assume the DJ reffered to here is Masa Ito who has been a big friend of the band since 1984. Hopefully, he only heard eight of the twelve songs on the record because it wouldn't make any sense for there just to be eight songs on the disc.

Don't be silly. There are 12 tracks.

Assuming for the moment that this is true, I wonder if they mean the Hammersmith Apollo? Have they played there since the gig in 1990?

I would kill to see them there :D

question
Hey Obie my friend :) Is Obie your real name??
Rocketh On.
Asked by Lady_Liberty on September 12, 2009 at 9:05am
answer
Yes it is. Now ,I've been asked what the title of the new album means.....so, here is something for you all. The album title, Bon Jovi explains, has several meanings. Some may say that with this album we have come full circle. Others may see The Circle as never ending. I see it as very hard to get in to and even harder to get out of, the singer says with a laugh. Having had 5 studio records in this decade, there are songs on each record that represent the world around us. And while they dont always like what they see, they try hard not to see the cup as half empty. From the new single We Werent Born To Follow to the powerful When We Were Beautiful, the songs are as uplifting and anthemic as anything Bon Jovi and Sambora have ever written.

Bullet...

Surely this has to rock harder than a rocking rock in rocksville Tennessee :)

"Live Before You Die"

Unbelievable.

I like the sound of that song already haha.

Bullet. Reminds me of Fear for some reason.

BonJovi100 09-14-2009 09:44 PM

Good titles:
We Weren't Born To follow , When We Were Beautiful , Work For The Working Man , Thorn In My Side , Live Before You Die , Learn To Love , Happy Now , Fast Cars , Superman Tonight , BrokenPromiseland , Bullet

Not too good:
Love's the Only Rule (Kravitz??)

Learn To Love - funny song like Misunderstood??
Superman Tonight - my favourite tille from this album. It's remind me great stereophonics song.
Bullet - it wmust be hard rock song.
Fast Cars - interesting. Title like in U2.
BrokenPromiseland - another really god title.
Happy Now - something like R.E.M.

Very good titles. They don't look tipical for BJ and it's good for them.

Crushgen24/88 09-14-2009 09:49 PM

Interesting titles, though a few of them sound like real crap. I really like Superman Tonight and Brokenpromiseland. Hopefully the songs are good.

rickysambo 09-14-2009 10:09 PM

wow.Fast cars is really there?...Different titles, have to say.The only bad feeling i have is about "love is the only rule"....Can titles grow on you?

SSM12 09-15-2009 02:13 AM

Title's arent bad. I love that they did Live Before You Die. It would have been too funny if they didnt.

Bjx 09-15-2009 06:03 AM

I think that we have a very interesting titles of songs: (my english not the better one, jeje)

- "We Weren`t Born to Follow": the typical first single from the 00`s since It`s My Life, actually like the song, just waiting for the solo in the single version...

- "When Were Beautiful": sounds like a U2`s song, I don`t know if the final version is a rocker or the same on youtube

- "Work for the Working Man": ufff, an excellent song, reminds me Just Older an Undivided, first rocker and then acoustic in the middle of the song, waiting for the rocker version, yeah!!

- "Superman Tonight": I donīt know what to think, maybe a ballad, maybe a song like "Captain Crash" or "Say It isnīt So" or "Misunderstood"

- "Bullet": yeah!!, sounds like an uptempo song with powerfull riffs and a rocker solo, the titles inspired rage, sounds promising...

- "Thorn In My Side": this title sound like a sadness song, i don`t know, maybe "Novocaine" kind of song, maybe inspired in a member of the band with his problems or something...

- "Live Before You Die": that`s a tough one, maybe a "live your life"· kind of stuff, or maybe a powerfull ballad, "Stay", "Always" come to my mind, I hope so...

- "BrokenPromiseland": Sounds like Richie`s Sambora`s song: "Fallen From Graceland" or "Postcards From The Wasteland". I donīt know...

- "Love's the Only Rule": yeah!!, please God, give a me an 80`s kind of song with that, "7800š Farenheit", "Slippery" era comes to my mind

- "Fast Cars": another tough one, "Lost Highway" kind of country influence song, i hope nooo!!, maybe an other song like "We Weren`t Born to Follow"

- "Happy Now": Difficult one, "Have a Nice Day" kind of song with ironic lyrics

- "Learn To Love": the worst title of this album, sounds like a cheesy ballad, please Jon, think about rage, social problems, violence, enough with the ****ing "Love", iīm broke up with my girlfriend and I hating Love so much...

That`s what I think, thank you very much for read...

I actually quite like that song but agree, I hope it's nothing like it - which it obviously won't be but...

I've got mixed feelings on the track names. A few that could be hard-edged rock songs but on the face of it, tracks like 'Superman Tonight' and 'Fast Cars' make me worry. Any song that has mentioned 'Superman' in the past has been dire, throw-away pop junk. Funnily enough, it wasn't any of the album tracks on Crush or Bounce that sprung to mind, it was the B-side of 'Alive' with the superman line that just makes you cringe. Talk about lyrical impotence!

There's a few on there that make me hopeful though especially given the contrast in my preconceptions of this record in comparison to HAND and LH when the titles were pre-released. Fingers are tightly crossed on this one. :D

Hickstar 09-15-2009 04:06 PM

Don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but HMV has the new album as a pre order in the UK. Release date 9/11/09. And it's only Ģ8.99 free delivery. Superb!

I would not be partaking in such illegal shenanigans BTW, I wouldn't dream of it.
