Hey RyanBounce04, I don't remember where you posted it, and I don't care enough about your posts to find it. But I recall you tried to act all awesome by calling me out and saying "SEE I WAS RIGHT IT WAS A RADIO EDIT. STAWP BEING SO NEGATIVEEEE."
Bravo. Except one thing, kiddo. You were wrong after all. It wasn't a radio edit, according to Richie they saw the backlash was so strong about the lame-ass solo that they changed it. Think about that. Look! That negativity you hate so much got the band to change something in their song (which, admittedly, won't change the fact it's still a bad song, but I digress). How bout this: We'll keep being pragmatic, and you can't keep being, well, a fan of Bounce, and we'll go our separate ways, K? :D |

Tokyo Rock Chick (the same person who confirmed the track titles from an interview on Japanese radio with Jon) has added some album facts on twitter: http://twitter.com/TokyoRockChick
They are as follows: These 8 posts are supplementary Bon Jovi info from what I heard on the radio last weekend. 1 : 8 songs that DJ listened were all fantastic. The Circle will be a really GREAT album, back to ROCK & VERY Bon jovi in a word. as per DJ. 2 : Seems it has one big theme, BJ wants to give the world strength, positive energy in such a bad times we've been through since last year. 3 : The song w/o title which will be on the best CD was Extremely Awesome. Its DJ's favorite. The song has similar guitar to It's My Life. 4: As for Hawai 14th/Feb/2010, its only 1 show there. 5 : London O2 Arena, 20 shows, Promoter AEG. This info will be announced officially. 6 : DJ mentioned Berlin O2 Arena as well. But its not confirmed by Jon. 7 : As of 5th/Sep, Jon himself told there was no live in 2009. But record company side told DJ they were planning something secretly. 8 : Record company side had their plan of Bon Jovi live around the release date for the promotion and wanted Jon to say Yes. My only concerns would be points 2 and 3. It's My Life style guitars and songs about positivity. It's beginning to sound like a typical post-2000 Jovi record  |

There sounds like soom good parts and some bad. I really don't know what to make of it. |
Sounds like the guitars in IML? The only distinctive feature about the guitars in IML is the talkb.... oh dear. :p
|
I agree. It's really starting sound like Jon rushed this album just to bring it out in the middle of a credit crunch and say 'hey, it's okay, let's be optimistic!'.
The theme fits perfect for the times doesn't it really... The only problem is we have had this 'theme' continued and repeated for almost 10 years now! It better be good. I really hope it is. |
Is it just me or are people missing the whole 20 shows at the o2 thing? thats the 3rd time i've read this rumour, seems like its actually going to go ahead.
Now, is this instead of a UK tour? or is this gona be a promo run for the new album launch and thus be as early as November 2009 (just over ONE month away!)? If so, i'd expect tickets to be on sale like...yesterday. andi |

I was expecting the rest of that...but they're really, seriously gonna do those 20 shows at the 02? Can they really pull that off even remotely successfully?

It's been 2 years since they released an album. |

eeek, I hope not. And I don't think they would even sell out would they?! How many does the O2 hold? 20k? And er, does that mean a lot of seating and not a great deal of standing? :/ |
I've only been to the 02 once and it was the best sound I ever experienced
|
i bloody hate seeing jovi in arenas, stick em ina field anyday, have a few shnifters and and rockin is what its all about

The 02 Arena is pretty good i think. It's as good as any indoor arena ive been too. I guess it does depend where and how far away you are from the action. Been to a few gigs there but i was standing so wasn't to far away from stage. I have also sat in the top tier at the back of the arena when i went to see lee evans and you had to sit and watch the screen all night as all you could see was a little dot running about stage lol

Maybe they will do a Jacko: 20 nights at the 02 and that's your European tour done!
|
20 dates at the O2 -if they did do it then they would want to have some serious support bands.

Surely there's no way they can feasibly do 20 shows at the O2. They would struggle to sell it out if people were willing to travel from all over Europe (and further) for it and yet in this financial climate, which will be little better next year let alone in a few months when people start having to buy tickets and make travel arrangements, not many people are going to be in a position to afford that. We're talking about selling 460 000 tickets for one venue - not likely!
I call bullsh*t on this one already and desperately hope I am right. I wouldn't even travel down from Scotland for it - too much money and I've seen em enough times to let one tour go by without. |
I also don't see the need for them to do 20 dates at the 02, and I hope it's not true. A few UK promo shows before the main touring starts would be nice, but 20 in the same venue is just bizarre
|
I really can't see how they could successfully play 20 shows anywhere.
|
Even if they sold the tickets for £10 each and gave everyone a copy of the new album they wouldn't sell out 20 nights!
I don't want to see my favorite band play to a half empty arena, just play one massive show in London at Wembley Stadium :) |
It seems a strange move, unless they only play the O2 and no other European dates.
A Lot of fans would go to multiple dates, fans from mainland Europe would come over and London is packed with tourists. Prince did it, but they were his only tour dates too..... |
They have played the uk so much in recent years I think they should just do this:
Glasgow Manchester Cardiff Hyde Park (You can fit up to 200,000 in one hit) That way we should get more songs in one night, have it sold out, and in general make more people happy. Because lets face it if they do too many shows they are not going to sell. |
Some circle stuff from Jon this time and a hint about fast cars and WWWB.
"It's an interesting question to ask: Is that a fair dose of motivation or is that a chip on your shoulder?" Jon Bon Jovi posed that question to himself, and it's worth pondering. You might think that a man whose band has sold more than 120 million records and played before tens of millions of fans in the course of an illustrious 26-year career would be content to rest on his considerable laurels, at least for a while. You might think that, but you'd be wrong, and the new Bon Jovi album, The Circle, provides irrefutable proof. As its title suggests, The Circle marks a powerful reassertion of Bon Jovi's commitment to the hard-hitting, uplifting rock & roll that has been the band's indelible signature since it began. The band share an abiding bond that informs and defines their music. It is a circle that remains unbroken. "The album title," Bon Jovi explains, "has several meanings. Some may say that with this album we have come full circle. Others may see The Circle as never ending. I see it as very hard to get in to and even harder to get out of," the singer says with a laugh. Having had 5 studio records in this decade, there are songs on each record that represent the world around us. And while they don't always like what they see, they try hard not to see the cup as half empty. From the new single "We Weren't Born To Follow" to the powerful "When We Were Beautiful," the songs are as uplifting and anthemic as anything Bon Jovi and Sambora have ever written. Another reason for the anthemic sound of THE CIRCLE is the re-emergence of Richie Sambora. "This is meant to be a stadium, turn-the-guitars-back-up record, and that's a testament to having Richie at my side," Jon says. "I can't tell you how much that's meant. With me and Richie, one and one makes three. That flame burns at the heart of The Circle. "When We Were Beautiful" shares its title with the superb Bon Jovi documentary by filmmaker Phil Griffin. Like the film, the song is atmospheric and haunting. It opens with a sense of crisis: "The world is cracked/The sky is torn." Jon Bon Jovi hears the song as a true departure for the band. "That's a unique song," he says, "We've written hits, but this is something more, this is something different. I didn't want to sugarcoat things. Those lyrics are factual. As a country and as people, we hit a wall. But the idea is to try to get back to `when we were beautiful.'" The new studio album, The Circle, was produced by John Shanks, who also worked with the band on the two preceding Bon Jovi albums, Lost Highway (2007) and Have a Nice Day (2005). The album has an underlying positive theme that is apparent throughout the songs. Whether it's questioning your vitality in "Fast Cars," or asking what the future holds in "Work for the Working Man," the songs are about the prospect of people having to find new directions in their lives. In these trying times every word relays the truth. So The Circle, then, like all of Bon Jovi's best music, stares down the troubles that afflict our lives, and offers a bracing vision for overcoming those obstacles. It's stirring, and it's an emotion that, strong as the album is, will find its most convincing expression on the concert stage. And this is why Bon Jovi have managed to play over 2600 concerts to over 34 million fans in over 50 countries. "I can't believe I'm even saying this, but I can't wait to go on the road again," Jon Bon Jovi exclaims. From: I thought the yellow bits give a good indication of what they are planning to get across with this album. |

The 20 dates at the O2 sounds like so much rubbish to me, too, except for this: the O2 is a AEG venue, and they have all those empty dates that MJ was supposed to fill. I can't help but wonder if AEG is leaning on (and making it worth it to) its biggest acts to help them out.
EDIT - BTW, I think it would be a mistake. They didn't really sell out 10 dates in NJ when the economy was better than it is now. |
Maybe AIG is trying to fill 20 of the dates, and maybe Jovi will do like 5?
|
There's no way there will be 20 dates at O2, unless they scrap the rest of Europe!
They barely managed to fill Twickenham for 2 nights last summer....... They could maybe manage 3 nights at the O2, but I'd rather they played MK Bowl & Wembley Stadium. Definitely need to avoid Hyde Park. Yes, they can cram people in, but it's got no element of tiering, so short of every ticket being £10 it's pointless going. If they're hitting these shores next summer then I would expect: Hampden Park Old Trafford Cricket Ground Cardiff Wembley I'm hoping for MK Bowl though, and I can see them looking at the Emirates Stadium as an option too. |

No, the cricket ground makes sense as the current owners don`t need or want the money brought in by gigs.....they turned Take That and Oasis down...... shame really because the LCCC is a very poor venue in my opinion. |

Hope they do old trafford man utds ground again i was there in 2003 and was amazing. Cant see it though that was a one off,man utd ground aint a concert place

Dublin - Croke park
Glasgow - Hampden park Coventry - Ricoh Arena Southampton - St.Marys London - The Emirates stadium Them's the venues. |
Id like to scrap the stadium tours im sick of seeing the band from 100 feet away.
After they did Hyde Park they said they would start doing smaller venues. how about 5 nights at Shepherds Bush Empire. Its an awesome venue and you are never far from the stage wherever you are. if jovi announce stadiums again it could be the first tour I dont go to since 1990 |
