Looking for advice in fulfilling a tatooing dream :D
 

ok, so here's the deal. I love David and I love his signature. I want ... somehow ... to get him to autograph my ankle so that I can then go get it tatooed over.

I know I sound crazy, but I think it'd be absolutely wonderful. Obviously I have a few logistical issues with this though, like how I would go about getting close enough to ask for an autograph in the first place. Or how I would explain why I want it on my body and not on a Lunar Eclipse cover. And no, I cannot get this tatooed without him actually signing. ;)

Thoughts?
Note - I will go to lengths to get this. Traveling to New York for the premire of Memphis has crossed my mind, but if I could figure out how and where I might get this while they're on tour, that would be more ideal. Then again, parachuting into a venue onto the stage from a hired jet has crossed my mind too.

I'll have a restraining order to remember you by, and you can have my autograph tattooed to remember me by. Fair exchange.

If you absolutely have to have him autograph you (as opposed to using a picture of his autograph for the tat guy to work off of) you're probably just going to have to get really lucky and bump into him outside a gig (which will probably not happen) or when he's out and about in a certain city.

You could try and get some details for his management and e-mail them and see if they have any ideas for meeting him quickly at some point but I doubt they'd go with it.

I hear they often hang around in the bar of the hotels they stay in while on tour. You need a contact who can tell you what hotel they're in then hope you're lucky.

well when i got my 'Bon Jovi' tattoo, i took a picture in of the One Wild Night album and he took the words off there. So ur best bet is to take a pic of the signature in.

You could add his (*future?*) wife on facebook. Her profile is publicly available. Maybe she can help. Forgot what her name is now, but I am sure u can google it. Other than that, what the rest of the people have said. And yes, it does make sense that you want his actual signature to be tattooed. Don't even think about getting it of a picture. It'd be just cheap. My 2 cent.

Hmm, is that advisable though? Alas it can be hard for people to tell the difference between harmless fangirls and creepy fangirls.;)

And I agree that you'd be best getting the actual autograph if you can.

Oli has a tatt of springsteens autograph on his ass, ask him for tips...
