Can't wait for Backspacer too! I'm not impressed by the 1st single (The Fixer) though. Got Some, The End and Speed Of Sound are much better. I like the cover - it was really fun to take part in the game prepared by band and search for all 9 images spread around the web :)

Certainly looks cool, and I love me some Pearl Jam, so I'll be checking this out.

They're performing in The Netherlands right now. And I'm not there. Bah, bah, bah.
Also, the names of the title tracks suck ass! Johnny Guitar? Speed of Sound? Force of Nature? Puh-lease.

I'll be seeing them in Manchester on Monday night :)

I could've gotten 2 tickets for Rotterdam, which is about half an hour drive from my place, but I just couldn't be bothered.

Good setlist in Rotterdam last night. Not too fond of the new stuff.

Can't say I'm too impressed either, Thierry. At this point, I kinda fear the whole album will suck ass too :(
(shitty setlist last night, btw! Apart from Black. Mother****ers.)

But could it be a grower?

Another top performance in Manchester, bit of an oddly midpaced first half of the set (still with a lot of great songs that I was happy to see though), but the pace definitely picked up in the second half, especially in the encores. And finally, on my third time of seeing the band live, they finally played Black for me :D And I was transported into a world of sheer delight, especially when Eddie adlibbed the "Did we belong together" part at the end, with the entire crowd singing the outro. Magical.

As a whole show I'm not sure it quite beat London 2007, which is currently my favourite gig ever, but still damn good. Here's hoping they come back to Europe next year! :D

I'm not so convinced about this setlist either, though it seems better than the one they had over here. But glad you enjoyed yourself, Paul. What do you think of their new stuff, by the way?

I've only heard The Fixer and Got Some, trying to leave most of the album as a surprise! Got Some seems pretty good, I'm not sure about The Fixer yet, need to listen to it more I think. The album so far sounds like it's pretty much gonna be a sequel to the self-titled, which was a great album IMO, so that may or may not be a good thing. We'll have to see!

I've heard 3 songs now and Got Some definitely is the best of those. I really hate The Fixer and it made me doubt (and fear) whether they'll be anywhere close to their self-titled.

Ive heard the songs and really like them. With luck the rest of the album will be just as good
