Spoiled Bon Jovi fans
 

I have come to the conclusion that Bon Jovi fans have become spoiled and critical of Bon Jovi. I remember when Crush came out and fans were so hyped to finally have a new Bon Jovi album. Nothing bad was said about it but not with Bounce. I think that fans are getting spoiled knowing that they may get a new album every 2 years. So now they criticize Bounce. I think Bounce is a great album but I'm just trying to figure out why people have been questioning Bon Jovi as of late. Well, if anyone agrees with me or has any comments you are free to respond.

Crush was shit then and it still is now.

perhaps people are criticising Bon Jovi because they arent producing what (people think) they are capable of?

may be because "Crush" was out after much awaited years.. and the fans just glad whatever they can get from BJ..

Even though I accept that Crush is trash with one or two good songs but becos of IML, BJ got so many new fans.. this is undeniable fact..

I think that certain people on this board who don't like Crush prefer stuff like "These Days".. They think that "deep" writing is always somewhat sad and depressing.. Crush is an upbeat album (most of it) and that just bothers idiotic fans who think they know everything.... Some people really didn't enjoy it.. I loved it. Until I got on this board, I saw nothing bad about Crush at all... At least it wasn't as "whiny" as These Days about love and everything.

And then there's that obvious "these are pop songs!!!!" thing that you hear.. Where is the "pop" on this album? I hear none. Crush was in the era of POP over-ride.. but it wasn't pop.. Some of it was MELLOW but that doesn't mean it's pop. Infact, I heard no pop sounds in any of the songs at all.. Heh.. Oh well.. Shallow as they may be, it's not a problem. I'm not really a critic like some on this board.

That was a great post Captain Crash. I couldn't have said it better myself. I hate when people call some of their songs pop. I do though love These Days but if people don't like it, it's on them.

I don't think it's a bad thing that fans critisize their idols. If nothing bad is sayed, that just means that the fans can't judge things themselves, they just blindly follow the band and think that they must love everything the band (or whoever the idol is) does. No one can love every single thing another person does, that just isn't possible.
