What metal-fans think about BJ
I don't think you give them enough credit. My wife is a MAJOR Bon Jovi fan, and I've heard "Crush" more times than I can possibly count. Thing is, though, nearly every song on that CD is of high quality. And they're all catchy. I randomly get songs from that CD stuck in my head for no reason, other than they're catchy & memorable. "Bounce" wasn't quite as good, but rocked out nicely. "Have a Nice Day" they started to lose me a bit - less memorable overall. But if they could do a more "Crush" type of record in terms of songwriting, they'd have another winner.

"I always figured him for a circle jerk type of guy."
The guy was talking about Jon but I gotta say, I bet Richie's the circle jerk type of guy. And I'm surprised there are a couple guys on there who even know of Jovi's latest releases :o |
As I posted in the original title thread - am I the only one mentally putting jerk after The Circle? Or is it only my dirty mind LOL?
Apparantly I'm NOT the only one. :p |
i dont care cause im a metal fan too, and i never disliked Bon Jovi
|
I'm a metal fan too, but I like Bon Jovi. A good song is a good song. A great band is a great band.
|
I am a metal fan too. Mostly speed/thrash but I listen to BJ and other melodic stuff too. Is that legal anyway?

Maybe if it were a girl group I could put up with the whole Circle Jerk thing, but this is Bon Jovi and their girl-looking days are far behind them :( I do hope you're happy, Kathleen  |
I was more suprised that a metal fan really like Crush and prefers it to Bounce and/or HAND
|
im a big metal/rock fan in general, even like thrash, but jovi were the band that got me in to the " scene" and introduced me to the glam/ sleaze era, when i was 12 or 13, im now 36,dont get the emo thing tho, must be my age.I know a bloke called bill who is total metal, moterhead, anvil, saxon, etc lemmy lookalike and even he likes em and he is 48

I think it's not that far from Bon Jovi to metal, or at least it wasn't in the 80's.
I think that mentioning the fact that Bon Jovi headlined Monsters of Rock in 87' lets most Metal fans look up to the success they had with that kind of music back then. |
