voices on the intro of Hey God and Something for The Pain
 

sorry it this has been asked and answered before.

who are the voices on the intro of the two songs ? you can hear the first one right before the song and the one on something for the pain right in the beginning of the intro. who is he/are them ? any clues ? and are they saying exactly ? the one on hey god goes, ' ok ready ? ' ...... ' let's go' dunno the middle bit :P

"Ok you ready?"
"Just about"
"Let's go"

I used to think it was

"Ok you ready?"
"I'm Aunt Flow"
"Let's go"

Sounds like Jon and David. Could be wrong.

I always thought it was Jon and Richie. Because that's what Jem told me.

I also think it's Richie and Jon. It is without any doubt Richie at least.

I think is David that says "Ok, are you ready?", then Richie "Just about", and then David again "Let's go". I'm pretty sure that is David's voice, not Jon.

I don't hear any voice before Something For The Pain, maybe the thread starter means Damned, which has Alec's voice speaking in the beginning.

David and Jon im pretty sure. I thought it was Tico for ages, but afte rhearing him speak alot, he's pretty distinctive hehe

Alec didn't play on TD, I don't think it was him. I assumed it was Peter Collins.

The voices at the start of Something For The Pain are Jon and (I had always assumed it was) Richie.

Jon: "God save the Queen."
Richie: "Why?"
Jon: " 'Cause she can't swim."

I vaguely remember reading something somewhere about this originally involving placing one of those coins with the Queen on them in your drink and saying that before downing it...
