Would you like a real acoustic album to be released?
Hey!
Just listening to TLFR. Wasn't bad but I would like to see a real acoustic album like it was announced before that project. Not lots of rework, just keep the basic songs as they are. What do you think? edit: should be acouStic in the title, can't change it sorry :-( my bad |
I quite like a big chunk of TLFR anyway, however yes I'd love an acoustic album how you described.
Or just a live album of acoustic songs they've done over the years. Wasn't that the original idea? I'd love that. I'd also KILL for an acoustic tour. Honestly, I'd hunt down some poor bugger and break his neck into two if it meant an acoustic Bon Jovi tour (or an acoustic Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Marion Raven tour) |
Like TLFR a lot, but I'd be just happy if Bon Jovi would realise an acoustic album. They're the real band and don't need all the production shit of nowadays. They're made for stuff like this. Just guys with guitars and load of talent. And songs like "Born To Be My Baby" and "I'd Die For You" acoustic versions we all know or "Lay Your Hands On Me" played the way it was done on "An Evening With Bon Jovi". Basic acoustic versions. Without all the shitty electronic samples, the useless instrumental wall of noise and (oh God) violins. Without 15 additional and unneeded musicians. I didn't hear the new single yet, but I think I'd prefer the acoustic album much more than another overproduced album. Just classic guitar music with it's simplicity and soul at the same time. That's what rock'n'roll is all about.

They should have released the Japan acoustic in 2003 as planned.
It would have taken some mastering as they didn't sound at their best but it would have been better than TLFR, the only 2 songs I like from TLFR are the Japan acoustic LIVE tracks. |
I liked a few songs from TLFR. The best thing about that record is the production.
Would still like to hear a proper acoustic album from the band, even if it was made up of live performances from years back. ('88 '93 etc) |
What i didn't like on tlfr was all the singing in the lower keys.
That just showed how much Jon was struggling with his voice those years. Since the LH tour, i am so convinced that they could play all songs again in their original versions as far as the singing goes. So, acoustic versions of the real songs, that would be amazing. Bryan Adam's unplugged is a very good example of a graet acoustic record. One of the best. Oasis are also very good when playing acoustic. But, for now, let's have a big rock album named 'the circle' :) |
Yeah, why not?
An acoustic album would be a good idea, as long as the tracklisting is sensible. |
YES! I would love :p

Yes I would. Not only a record but a theatre tour also.
But not with the production of TLFR. I know the 95% of the general fans don't want it so I guess this wish will never come true. I'd like to hear something from Jon in this vein but according to the trailer of the documentary the man wants to sell out the desert....more than once....so....I'll keep on listening Bruce Springsteen for this kind of things. |
