Poorest selling concerts since 2000?

I don't mean to be negative here, I'm just interested to see what shows have sold poorly in the past decade.

Brussels on the Lost Highway tour looked half full, any more?

I think Padova 2001(or 2000  ) was half empty...

True, Brussels on LH tour was very poor. They even started to sell the cheapest tix officially for a ridiculous low price in the weeks before concert.
Nevertheless, the attendence was 30.000 people, but that stadium has capacity for 50.000.

Some reasons for these low sales figures were:

Price for golden circle was 100 euro (compared to 64 euro in holland the day before)
Even the 2nd price was ridiculously high.
Poor marketing promo for the concert.
During 95 and 2009, Bon Jovi always draws a crowd about 30.000 people (except for once in 2000 when 50.000 people came to see them in ostend for the crush tour).

Best place for them to play in Belgium is in Werchter. This festivalground can hold to 80.000 people, but since it ain't a stadium it doesn't matter if only 30.000 people attend the show. (in stadiums suddenly half of the seat remains empty)

By the way, Amsterdam 2009 was far from sold out either, but they covered the empty seats with some sort of black drapes. :)

I heard tickets for the 2nd night at Twickenham (LH tour) were being sold for under £10, officially.

It was supposed to be some kind of employees only promo that someone managed to stumble across though, wasn't it? Or am I making that up?

I know that at Milton Keynes Night 2 in 2006 I only managed to sell my spare Gold Circle tickets for £30 apiece to a tout, who said there was "no demand" for them at all

Oli had to sleep with numerous people to get tickets for £10 :(

They should never have done 2 nights at Twickers last year, the 2nd night was half full in the stands.

The only good thing about them not selling out anymore, is that you can easily pick up a cheap ticket if you wanna go to a gig at the last minute :)

Aloha !

Nuremberg 2003. They expected to sell over 40.000 tickets but sold about 8.000, which resulted in the show being moved to an indoor venue in Kiel.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Damn, just looked that concert up on Youtube. Looks like they put on a show for the 8,000 that bothered to buy tickets.

Indoor shows in Europe blow American shows out of the water.
