always....but any more??

now that jon can sing always again, will it pave the way for any of the rare stuff to make a comeback?
will they ever hit the chorus to prayer??
the high note in livin in sin or bed of roses
or the long note in something for the pain??

just curious to hear what you guys thought

if jon can sing always/high notes again, i think we might get treated to a rare song once in a while...but, as a permanent/recurring part of the setlist my guess is, sadly, no. i think he'll want to avoid straining his voice by working the high notes night after night. but, maybe some songs will show up here and there and the attendees at that show will get lucky, and the rest of us will be jealous. here's to hoping!

Never.
Never.
Never.

His voice will never be that good again, unfortuantely. Jon is getting on now.

To the best of my knowledge, Jon hasn't done the chorus in Prayer since the 80s, so I doubt he's likely to start again now :p

Actually there was some shows in 1993 and 1995 (from the bootlegs) that Jon does some whoas but never in the key change chorus.

So ... do you mean he did the whole of the two choruses before the key change, or just the "Whoaaaaa" parts?

severo17 09-24-2009 02:33 AM

Not the whole thing. Just one or two whoaaa in the two chorus before the key change.

Example:
1st Chorus: Ohh we're half way there Whoaaa Livin' On A Prayer
Take my hand, we'll make it I swear, Whoaa Livin' On A Prayer

2nd Chorus:

Ohh we're half way there Whoaa Livin' On A Prayer
Take My Hand, we'll make it I swear, Whoaa Livin' On A Prayer

Bold Parts: Jon' Whoas xD

I can remember one for certain that he did one. It was in Paris 1995. They were opening for the Rolling Stones. The others I don't remember where it was.

What I said still stands then, he hasn't done the chorus (i.e. the whole thing) since the 80s :D

I wonder how Jon would sound if he actually attempted to sing LOAP the proper way.
