Jons Howling Scream

You know the one, you can hear it in I Believe, I'll be there for you and a little in Something to Believe In. I think its quite good, can he do it anymore and if not, when did he stop being able to do it?

Also any videos would be appreciated.

Just an after thought, does it sound like he's trying to reintroduce it a bit in HAND? Sounds lower than the original.

Lower voice, he doesn't do it anymore unfortunately. In 2007 they played I'll Be There For You a few times with Jon on vocals and he doesn't do the scream anymore. All he does lately is quite basic, but I am not a singer.

This is the last performance I can think of where Jon screams.

Go to 4:20 for screams a plenty. It's most Certainly one of the best live KTF renditions ever.

I was there for those shows and Jon can scream with the best of them. He does seem to have stopped lately though and I'm not sure why. Most people would say he's "saving" his voice I guess. However I have just seen 3 live Bruce shows where he screams his head off - and puts on 3 hour and 15 minute shows - and does it on back to back nights. Bruce is also about 12 years older than Jon. Obviously different people have different voice issues but I think Jon could hit the "raw" button a bit more. He used to do it so well.

I remember of him doing a scream on a "Who Says You Can't Go Home" performance in 2005. (I think it was the MSG concert)

There's a video on youtube with that.

These are the best I've seen in a live performance:

6.05 onwards.

In terms of recorded, I think the ending to Let's Make It Baby is about the best and, apparently, his highest ever recorded vocals:

5.25 onwards.
