'Temptation' story

So, I auditioned for this Halloween musical review show thing. The audition was: come in with a song you know that will fit the theme: you're in purgatory singing your heart out in order to get out. Think of the waiting room Betelgeuse.

So I brought a few songs to try; the Meatloaf tunes I brought would have blown the show out of the water, but they didn't have a guitar soloist so they said those were out even though they would make great end of night songs. So I put on Temptation and they said 'yeah that's great; that fits perfectly.' So we ran it through a couple times, they picked it up pretty quick, and I sang it and then they asked who it was and I told them bon jovi and the expression was priceless...

'Ohh.....' one said. Then some bug eyes. 'Really?'

And now the guitarist plays it like he is asleep and doesn't give a crap.

But I'm already in ;)

And the scene I set up is that I am dead and am haunted by the hooker who killed me, played by my girlfriend. It'll be good.

Can you please please please post video or audio footage of the performance? I'd love to see this!! Is this the original version or the box set version? Very cool.

Hey, yeah I think it is great too; I doubt there's going to be video since it is a bit risque, but if there is audio recording allowed, I will send it to ya.

Good song is Temptation. Bon Jovi were in great form back then. It just goes to show they had so many good songs at their disposal that stuff like this just got dumped, or used as a b-side.
