Make 'Bounce' great!

The recent thread of 'best post 2000 album' got me thinking.

I voted for 'Bounce' due to having some of my favourite tracks on and liking the grunge/heavier sound on those tracks.

Bounce should have been a great album but suffered IMO with some poor song choices from a truely wonderful recording session.

Based on the available songs on the album and also B sides can we make it a better album. I think so and just need some help with the running order etc.

Undivided
Everyday
The distance
Breathe
Misunderstood- single version, heavier sound
Another reason to believe
Hook me up
No regrets
Bounce
We can dance
Standing
Postcards from the wasteland

This is based on a 12 track CD, there are of course numerous bonus songs that could be chosen.

Does another album title suit this better too?

Maybe 'Standing' or 'The Distance' ?

The above tracklist will still offer some good songs but still will be a crappy album due to having no flow and way to much different 'production' styles... imo

Deffo agree that it could have easily come out so much better!

the choice of singles never helped it either!

would have chosen Undivided/Everyday/Bounce meself! and in that order!

Can we not just let Bounce RIP?

It's bad enough being reminded of it let alone resurrecting the evil.

TBH, I've always thought the Bounce bonus tracks and B-Sides have been overrated.

Bounce is nowhere near as bad as people make out.

If I had a pound for everytime a thread like this appeared I reckon I could afford to go to every gig on the circle tour :p

I'd probably take Love Me Back To Life over Standing, and definitely Right Side Of Wrong over We Can Dance, but otherwise I concur (although I'm not sure you actually know what grunge is :D)

Still wouldn't stand up to the classic BJ albums, but would make it a little more solid. I do really like Bounce, about half of it is great, but there's just a few too many filler songs

I actually dont mind Bounce. It has some great songs and some not so great songs. I still listen to a fair few tracks from it.

Undivided and Bounce are 2 ripper songs which I think should have been the 2 first singles from the Album.

I also dont mind Joey, The Distance, Love Me Back To Life, Everyday, Right Side of Wrong and All About Lovin You.

Hook Me Up is alright. I dont like it as much as most others do here compared to the other tracks.

The other 3 tracks I dont have much care for at all. You Had Me From Hello, Misunderstood and Open All Night would have to be my bottom 20 Jovi songs. I never understood why Misunderstood was released as a single.

Ok, this is how it shapes up with the song choices you would swap.

To me that actually works quite well. I think that makes Bounce a srtonger album.
