What's the deal with backstage?
 

I'd like this issue clarifying for me. When I'm reading threads on here some posts might make reference to Backstage with JBJ, usually these posts seem quite disparaging towards Backstage.

I'd just like a general idea of what the overall attitude of this board is towards Backstage. I'm not a member myself, think the prices are ridiculous, but I was curious when reading about some of the comments left on the MSG trailer.

So what are your thoughts? :?

It's full of mental housewives who want to have sex with Jon.

It's no fanclub, it's a slave-club. It seems they worship every little bit there. And I still vote for removing the Jon in the title.

Ah, blind followers. At least opinions on here are a bit more versatile.

Actually, the thing about Backstage is it looks like they are blind followers because negative/critical posts get deleted.

I was a backstage member for a few years, and hell, met my wife in the chatroom there.

This whole "blind" follower thing annoys the hell out of me - because people on here will call you that just because you think somethings good that they don't - and I've had to reiterate on here many times that I genuinely do love most of what the band has ever done.

My problem on Backstage generally isn't the people - though the whole "I must be front row at every show just so Jon might see me" attitude is so ridiculous it's laughable - it's the prices, and the way it is run that bother me the most - and why I got out.

before backstage went members only it was nasty, people really attacking you for having a basic opinion. Plus when their board went down they would use this board , but when JT wnet down I was banned for using their board !

I think of them as sheep , perhaps its not their fault and its the fault of management deleting their comments u can understand them wanting to protect their product BJ.

Which is why many of us are here. I am still a backstage member mostly for ticket purchases - but I always appreciated NOT having my posts deleted just because I had an opinion different from "Jon is god".

My biggest issue with Backstage is the ripoff factor.
