Radio 1

Bon Jovi are confirmed to be on Radio 1 either 3rd or 4th of November in the live lounge with Fern Cotton :)
Should be good

They are doing a Radio 2 concert on the evening of th 3rd so it would makse sense for them to do Live Lounge on the same day.

This is very cool! Correct me if I'm wrong...but Live Lounge is acoustic and the rule is that one song has to be a cover?

Then I bet it's going to be Hallelujah with Jon doing his story on the big songwriters jibba jabba.

Yes more than likely!! It would be quite cool if he tried something different though...

It would also be quite cool to hear WWBTF acoustic!

great news, thats really big promotion for them

I never thought I'd see the day when Radio 1 invite Bon Jovi... they really do play the most mainstreem crap.

Ferret 10-23-2009 07:29 PM

Generally people do two or three songs in the Live Lounge, acoustically, and it's often done at someone's house (like Kasabian did it recently in their guitarist Serge's front room). Should be interesting.

Because Bon Jovi are fucking indie, yeah?

I bet it's not being done at Obie's house with all those minors running around naked there.

The Live Lounge is usually acoustic, although sometimes it is full band electric sets recorded at Maida Vale*. I would expect Bon Jovi's performance to be electric.
Fearne Cotton has started a thing where every friday morning at 11am ('Bon Jovi-o'clock!') she plays 'Living On A Prayer'. They confirmed on the show this morning at the band would be doing the Live Lounge and would definatly be playing Livin' On A Prayer. After all the airplay Cotton gives it i cannot see it just being a stripped down acoustic version.
She also played WWBTF this week on her show.

'New' Bon Jovi, let alone a live performance too, on BBC Radio 1 is a BIG DEAL!

*The times last month when it was done from someone's dig's (eg the Kasabian edition Ferret mentioned) was part of a special 'Live Lounge Tour', where they did it from a different persons house each week for Jo Whiley's last week of shows in that slot.
