Wow
This is the first Bon Jovi album in ages where the first 3 tracks all kick butt
More later... Edit: And number 4... HOLY MOTHER WHERE DID NO 5 COME FROM!!!! :O :D (in a good way!!!) |
Gotta agree!! Only onto track 6 but it doesn't feel like a new album, feels like I've listened it to years. I was a fan of Lost Highway but so far this is light years ahead!

Yeah I got to the end and felt like Bon Jovi have spent 14 years writing this thing since These Days and everything else has been filler to tide us over it's that good.

I have to say, being a BJ fan for 15 years, i was surprised after i listened to the album for the first time. It's much better than i though it would be. WWWB, Brokenpromiseland, Love's the only rule an Happy now stick out as the best songs. That is after listening to the album 3 times. WWBTF is over produced. WFTWM's riff is toooooo similar to bass line from Prayer.
Overall i think is a good album. Next chapter, as Jon likes to say. There are songs that yearn for BIG guitar solo!!! Like Dry County (maybe not as long). But more than 10 sec of Richies guitar.I don't know why they "allow" longer solo parts in the songs. screw commercial songs! That won't bring fans to the shows.Only honest, good rock sound will. is this the best album since These Days? It' s hard to say. Lost highway, after it's been out for 2 years, sounds so fresh and different. Now i realize that it's actually very good record.Circle:i think in a year from now i'll be able to say objective opinion. All i can say that in today's hyperproductive music business it's hard to deliver great songs every 2 years. There is no time like back in '90, between TD an Crush, for sound to change dramaticly.I think this is a "slow" evolution of Bj , in a right direction. |
