U2 Ticket Prices VS Bon Jovi

I got an e-mail announcing that U2 would be playing Meadowlands Stadium on July 19th.Ticket prices are $253, $98, $58, $33. I think that top ticket price is more outrageous than Bon Jovi. After seeing that personally I can't complain. Even though its U2 that is worse than Jovi's ticket prices.

U2 charges $250 for a large part of the stadium, too. I helped a friend get tickets for the show in September in Chicago, and I was pulling seats in the 300s that were $250!

The top price for U2 is too high, can't argue that. The rest are pretty fairly priced. GA being in the region of $50 means people can get close to the stage without paying an arm & a leg which is infinitely preferable to paying $2,000 for the "privelege". There are something like 10,000 tickets for every venue at $30 and 85%+ are priced at under $100. In addition their tour is costing $750,000 a day to run so somewhere that is going to be paid for by someone.

I don't find the regular ticket prices for Bon Jovi to be bad at all. The package prices are crazy, and if I was BJ I would have balked at the package pricing, but I get that there is a market for it and it does sell and considering that the secondary market is pushing for 1500.00 a ticket for the pit at Giants, and they will get it, can't blame the band for getting what the market will bear.
At least for BJ it's only a small portion of the arena that has the high end price range. Most of the place will be in the 150.00 market or less, which means a person can go to the show, see and hear the band without going broke. At the front??? NO, but in the building in a decent seat with a good view?? Yes.

Well if people get those floor seats for $55 like I did, they would say you can't beat it, but if a person gets shitty seats and has to cough up 250 for a ticket thats ridiculus.

it's sad. these are two band whose frontmen are self-declared "politiccally minded" and yet they rip us off!
