Q: Hey Obie, just wondering if you can give me a rough idea of when the boys are coming to Australia on this tour?? The suspense is killing me!!!! Thanx.

A: Ok........Australia will see Bon Jovi the early part of 2011. Hope this relieves the suspense.

That will be good news if true as I'll hopefully be in Melbourne in 2011. Be great to see them play the MCG. Awesome ground that.

There may well be a few empty seats given the 100 000 capacity.

Yea MCG would be fantastic! But I agree that a sellout there would be a stretch. If they did do that, I don't think they'd announce 2 nights at the venue. If not the MCG, then the Telstra Dome would be perfect for Melbourne with that stadium atmosphere. I really hope they come to Adelaide this time too!

Indoor venue & BOBITA please.
Great news btw.

I think they'll play Etihad Stadium (formerly Telstra Dome, Colonial Stadium, and Docklands) in Melbourne rather than the G...

While I hope to do a few shows on the Aussie leg, finances permitting, I'll be pretty devo if they don't come to Perth.

Yeah aussies tend to get the shit end of the stick when it comes to American and European rock bands doing tours. To be in Perth is also a shitter as everyone seems to miss out the west coast. The only saving grace though is that the internal Australian flights are pretty good value for money, if my flight from Melbourne to Sydney is anything to go by. I think you're right about the Melbourne gig btw. I bet even a Cold Chisel reunion couldn't fill the MCG.

According to Obie the Brazilian dates are on the way too !! \o/

Excellent, I am already saving for my ticket, lol. I've got $300 already so I'll easily have enough for that front row seat when the time comes.

Youre right about the internal flights. They are real cheap atm and have been for a while now.

And about Perth missing out on concerts, its something we've gotten use to over the years unfortunately. However the past couple of years havent been too bad. We've had concerts here that other major cities have missed out on (including Bon Jovi in 2008 ;)). The only real band I was upset with for not coming to Perth was All-American Rejects, although I did manage to catch them as support act for Fall Out Boy (they were the only reason why I went to the concert in the first place ).

Looking forward to 2011. Im also hoping to do more than one show this time around :D.
