2009 - And the nominees are....

Here we go then, the final nominees for the Jovitalk Awards 2009! Two awards had to be shelved due to a lack of nominations ... Best Signature and Topic Of The Year. C'monFeet 01-02-2010 06:42 PM

Well, now I feel bad I didn't nominate Kenobi for Queen.

DevilsSon 01-02-2010 06:50 PM

how on Earth was I nominated for best debator? haven't even participated in any debate this year, not to mention that I can't even type properly...

liljovi93 01-02-2010 09:22 PM

I should win a few here.

Oh....

Matrix15 01-03-2010 03:58 PM

How I was even nominated for funniest poster is beyond me. :silly:

Captain Walrus 01-09-2010 03:20 PM

So, I was supposed to be ending the awards today, but because you lot are useless, I'm probably going to have to extend it a bit, unless I get a lot of votes during the day today. Not including me, there are 382 active users on this board, and I've received a grand total of 8 votes! Nominees are tied for the top spot in a few of the categories, and I need more votes! So if you haven't already, please PM me your votes for the nominee you want to win in each category.

Damn voter apathy

Goldsausage 01-09-2010 03:21 PM

This wouldn't have happened if Seb was in charge of it. Hmph.

Supersonic 01-09-2010 04:21 PM

Aloha !

Indeed, but I had no time for it as I had to re-hire a studio electric triangle player as our current one seems to be some sort of strike.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Kathleen 01-09-2010 07:12 PM

I JUST read that the voting was supposed to be finished on the 9th - and then I looked at the date and damn - it's the 9th. Not sure where the last week went.

I'll send something to you later today - can't pass up an opportunity to vote for myself :D

Seb doesn't even seem to have been able to post the results of the 2nd round of his "Guess The Intro" thing that he promised like a month ago ;)

It was a choice between either anonymous voting or everyone being able to see who was winning all the way through, ruining the surprise at the end. Those are the only two ways to do it without Peter being onboard. I opted to do it in such a way that I'd know who voted for who, but that no one else would know who was in the lead until it was announced.

I'm not entirely sure how you expect me to use the knowledge of who voted for who for evil .... ?

I never said you were going to use it for evil although you do fancy yourself as a pirate :p

On a more serious note, I just overlooked the topic thinking it was going to be a poll vote anonymously and I was assuming that you could keep people from seeing who is ahead.

My mistake Paul.

Pffft, another example of why women can't be good leaders.

I'm not out to win Troublemaker of the Year :p

Plus, why would I want to be a leader? I don't aspire to be Hilary Clinton...

Maybe I should've phrased it better;

This just shows why women are clueless when it comes to any sort of organisation or to organising things themselves.

Sebastiaan

I don't see any real need to organize things either...spontaneous is better ;)

Not that I don't know the answer already but how would you have liked me to respond? Confrontatinally?

Suuuure, a woman who likes spontaneous better. As soon as you say "let's do something spontaneous" to a girl you get the answer that she needs to know what week.

You shouldn't have answered at all. Women should never, ever get interfere in a man's organisation.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Can't interfere with something that doesn't exist.

I love you Terri :D

And anyone who thinks that men "do" organization better than women should get a life. Some people, male or female are natural organizers. In general however, women tend to be far more organized than men.

Ive never known a man that can organise as good as a woman :p .... There is a reason most secretaries are women...

I hate to admit it, but I think that females are generally better at organizing than the opposite gender :(

I'm sorry lads
