Not long now....

With just a month or so to go until the first shows of the tour I was wondering what everybodys feelings are?

Excited? Anxious? Do you think the guys will be as good/better/worse than the last tour?

Any predicitions about setlists, songs that may come back after a while?

I'm going to 2 of the O2 shows, looking forward to them but I'm hoping the sets and performances from the first few US shows will not disappoint

I'm pretty excited about this tour. I think Jon will probably sound as good if not better than he did on the Lost Highway tour. I also think that we will get to hear some songs that haven't been played for a long time. I have a feeling that Japan might get Tokyo Road, and that In & Out Of Love and Let It Rock might both get an outing. I think 99 In The Shade, Something to Believe In, (It's Hard) Letting You Go and the electric version of Stick To Your Guns will be played at least once each. I also think they might play Slippery When Wet, New Jersey and The Circle in there entirety during the 02 shows!!

But I am basing this on nothing. :)

As I won't see them in 2010 I can relax and lay back. If they do great live shows - nice for those who are seeing them. If they don't - I am glad that I didnt buy one of those ridiculously overpriced tickets. If they charge as much in 2011 for the stadium tour I won't see them then either. Seen them on every tour since Jersey syndicate back 20 years ago. So I saw them in their absolute heyday (Faith/TD Live in London 1995) and saw absolute lowpoints as well (O2 2007).
In the meantime I enjoy The circle and will see with what they come up and if Jon proves his words this time.

Bon Jovi, Farenheit, Slippery, New Jersey, Keep The Faith, These Days and The Circle played in its entiritie on the O2 shows! :D

Anyway, being realitic, I'm pretty excited about the tour. Two years have passed since the last one, and it was awesome, being here, waiting to know what was played and everybody's taking guesses. Pretty cool.

Anxious to hear what rarities they have for us. (If they do)

I haven't been super excited about the new tour other than looking forward to spring. However, yesterday, on my way back from the airport I passed Giants Stadium and all of a sudden, I got excited.

Even better, my first show is in Philadelphia in March so it's already getting close :D

After hearing the interview Jon gave about playing rare tracks and covering albums in their entirety for the O2 shows, I have to say I am slightly tempted to opt for some of the cheap tickets that are left for one of the nights. I quite openly slated them for the ticketing for the London shows and I stand by that but if I could hear TD from start to finish, I think that would warrant a £45 entry fee even if it doesn't justify the £550-1100 pit package prices for the shows.

Having said that, with 10 nights to choose from,

a) there's no guarantee they'll play anything rare at the show I pick
b) knowing my luck, we'll get Bounce or HAND in it's entirety. LOL

Decisions, decisions... :)

If they play 'Hey God', 'These Days', 'Bed Of Roses', 'Livin' In Sin' or anything from Fahrenheit during the O2 I will never say a bad word against them ever again.

I'm going to have this as my status soon!

Nearer the time I reckon they'll announce what albums, if any, they'll play and what night. Just like Bruce did with the giants shows.
