KTF tour

In that recent interview about the Circle and the O2 shows Jon said "the biggest tour since KTF", and I always thought the 1995 tour was bigger, having in mind that Jon is sometimes mistaken about his own history (like introducing "Mystery Train" a song from the "Bounce record". ;-)
They literally played everywhere on both tours, including Latin America, Asia, Australia and even South Africa (for 1995). Therefore in 1993 they played in Honkong? Is that true?

It's not a big thing, but which tour could be considered bigger? Did anybody count the dates?
In 1995 they started playing mostly stadiums, so maybe that's why I considered the tour bigger, but maybe they did more shows in 1993.

Band played 177 shows on the Keep The Faith tour and 130 on These Days tour according to wikipedia.

KTF tour started at the beginning of February ended feew days before Christmas in 1993 and they did, North America and Europe twice (if we count it together with Sleep When I'm Dead tour) plus Japan, South America, Australia.

Crossroad tour started in April in India and ended at the beginning od December in Africa. They did Europe and North America just once but they did several shows in Asia and in Africa along with Japan, South America and Australia. They did big stadiums everywhere apart from North America and it was really a World tour.

So, KTF tour was longer but I would consider Crossroad tour bigger ;)

Yeah. And I was at the concert, and he didn't introduce mystery train as a bounce song, he said he "cant remember what album it was off of- crush or bounce?"

Jon sees big as in how many people they'll probably be playing for. 1 gig at the KTF tour equalled roughly 3 gigs at the 1995 tour.

Although many people here see the 1995 tour as a tour that took them everywhere this isn't really true. It's the extended legs of the KTF tours that took them everywhere, including the Phillipines and Lima. The 1995 tour was slightly smaller, but the played in front of much bigger audiences.

Or he is speaking about arenas in US and Canada... many of them were far from sold out (TD wasn't a successful album in US compared to the previous ones, hence no tour in 1996)

I remember seeing a youtube clip where Jon introduced it as a Bounce song and I went "WTF?". I serached for it but didn't find it. Well, if you been to the show you must know better. ;-) And you're lucky, I would love to hear "Mystery Train" again. I heard it in 2001 in a brilliant encore (together with a neverending version of "I'll Be There For You") and it was such a great live track. Too bad audiences didn't dig it enough...

You mean Hong Kong? It was scheduled to play but was cancelled because of bad weather. Hope they come back to Hong Kong this time.

Ah OK, because I never heard of them playing there. They didn't come back for another date after it was cancelled? Too bad.
