Anyone like this song?

I heard it last night for the first time in ages and I really like it.

I also think that Crush aint that bad - Ive taken out Shes A Mystery, Thank You For Loving Me, Just Older & Capt Crash - and that leaves you with a good batch of songs.

I have been a fan of Save the World for a long time but unfortunately majority of people do not like it. It's actually my 4th favourite track from the album after IML, TYFLM and OWN.

For me, it's very much like Live Before You Die from The Circle; the song structure is a little bit all over the place and it's a bit slow in the beginning, but once the song gets going its quite moving.

Agree with you that Crush aint that bad. However 3/4 songs you have taken out I quite enjoy. If I were to take out any tracks they would be She's A Mystery, I Got the Girl, Mystery Train and I Could Make A Living Out Of Lovin You. The rest of the album is pretty good IMO, especially if you throw in Neurotica.

I like all of these excepty Shes A Mystery. A truely awful song.

I like it, but it's my least favourite off of "Crush", don't know why, because it's a great track.
Yeah you heard me, I like "She's A Mystery" more than "Save The World", I just LOVE it. I'm a loner on a rocky road, I know, so don't crucify me! ;-) But being a big fan of CRUSH, my favourite album of the decade, "Save The World" is still a pretty good track and I can see that it would have worked for Armageddon. I find the lyrics a but confusing though, maybe because Jon rewrote them when it lost the battle against Aerosmith.

I remember being in a polish disco in Krakow in late 2000 and they suddenly played "Save The World", and it was majestic. I mean, turn up the volume and you know what I mean. It's a big song with a more clever structure than "Thank You For Loving Me". I don't really know what makes it my least favourite on the album, it's not a bad song at all. I just wish the solo was longer than the intro...

On a sidenote, I also love "Cpt. Crash". There's not a single note on the album I don't like. Well... :-)

I really, really, really don't understand why people hate it with a passion. I mean, I understand that people might not like it very much, but hate it?
It's something original, has a great moody atmosphere and great background vocals. A hauning tune and a nice new flavour to the BJ sound. Similar to "Temptation", especially in the minimalistic version from the IML single. While I was a bit disappointed when Crush came out with the lack of hard rock songs, I loved it for these "experiments" at the same time.

I think that Crush was a major disappointment (to me) after the dark and moody These Days.
But then again I remember thinking that These Days was a bit disappointing (at the time) because to me it was too moody for Bon Jovi anyway. I think These Days sounds better now than when released.

Back to Crush.

It’s not bad but nothing special. When the songs are good they are very good (Next 100 Years, ICMALOFLY, OWN, STW etc but when bad they are bad – TYFLM, CCATBQFM, SAM & Just older.

I think Crush is the album where they started to lose it a bit until the release of The Circle which is the best album (imo) since These Days.

i think it's an ok song. nothin spectacular but decent enough. i've always been fond of the crush record. it's the first jovi i ever owned so maybe that's got somethin to do with it but, for me, it gets an unfair press a lot of the time.

I love Jons scream towards the end, "I can save the WOOOORRLD " :D

Very good track, has an epic feel to it, although it never reaches that track.
Its the best ballad on crush though.
