Thoughts on total album sales?

Hi All

Im sure this has been discussed before, just wandering what people's thoughts are on the bands total album sales figures now?

130 million maybe?

i'd guess it's nearing that mark yes.

There was a recent discussion about this here:

It would be nearing 130million. Most likely after the next greatest hits release.

Adding LH and Circle sales and sales of all the other albums since the last count, it is almost certainly 130,000,000.

No more than 50-60 million albums.

Best regards.

Heres a better question:

Who cares?

ah, that came off as a little rude, but really..... I don't give a rats ass on how many albums Bon Jovi has sold. Could be 10 million, could be 100 million, could be a billion. It is proven that the least successfull Bon Jovi albums are always the best. Ex. Keep The Faith, These Days, Boxset, Circle (if you want to count that)

You're a product of the 90s.

Slippery When Wet and New Jersey were like meeting Jesus. Bon Jovi defined an era.
Their later albums will be only remembered by us, the hardcore fans.

Numbers are always exaggerated. There's no way to explain how Bon Jovi sold 120 million records, same situation for bigger bands like Aerosmith, U2, Queen, etc.

Best regards.

Queen yes.....U2 and Aerosmith are not bigger i am sorry to tell you. Maybe they have sold 10 to 20 million each more albums than our boys but thats because they have been around a lot longer, plus jovi might be considered smaller in some peoples eyes because they are not critics favourites! for god sake they are headlining the O2 for like ever!

Plus let me tell ya, im from & live in Ireland & the simple reason U2 are loved in America unike jovi is because they are Irish, not because Boner is an activist or writing more relevant lyrics or any of that

album sales.......from 2007 they have said 120 million......in three years copies of all 15 albums (if you include boxset, tlfr, & own) have been sold which i am sure amounts to a significant figure, plus we have four solo albums too, which accounts to a possible total of around about 150 mill im sure, similar to aerosmith, u2 etc. how many solo albums have u2 or aerosmith had ????

I'm pretty sure the label considered the Jon solo records when they told us about the 120 million records sold. Richie and David sold shit as solo artists.

In the US, Bon Jovi is not even close to Aerosmith and U2.
U2 is bigger than these two acts in the UK. But in the other parts of the world they are very close.
According to several sources, Aerosmith sold 150 million records, and U2 sold 145.

The point is the numbers are exaggerated. If we look at certifications, there's no way these three acts reached these numbers. Same for all the other big acts.

Best regards.
