Denise Richards has denied that she stole Bon Jovi guitarist from her best friend Heather Locklear.

Appearing on Oprah, actress Denise insisted that she had stopped being friends with Heather before she hooked up with Richie.

She said that she and Richie started as friends, supporting one another through the disintegration of their respective marriages. Denise was involved in a vicious divorce with actor Charlie Sheen.

She told Oprah: "We had been best friends, but we had ended our friendship before Richie and I ever started dating.

"It was very difficult showing up to parent-teacher days at my daughter's school with all the parents thinking I stole my best friend's husband."

grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

<sigh> even I (who never stole anyone's husband) could come up with a better story than that.

If all she had to worry about was PTA meetings, she got off easily. :roll:
