Where is Hugh?

Where is Hugh? Last few clips I have seen of the band from 2010 he has been MIA! He isn't anywhere to be fond on the clips from Vegas on the 28th. So whats the deal?

He was at the show, his new spot is behind Richie, where Lorenza used to be.

I have a dream that one day Hugh will be afforded the appreciation and recognition he deserves.

Then I wake up and remember that Jon is still the dictator, I mean CEO, and is determined to crush my spirit.:(

He's only a touring member, just like Bandiera.

What "appreciation and recognition" are you talking about?

Best regards.

I don't get your huge facination with Hugh.

Sure he's a consistant, and very average bassist and that's about it. He no more than bobs his head when he plays on stage, and is very lifeless. He is no more than a sessions musician and I can guarentee that NO ONE became a bassist because of Hugh. He is a VERY replacable member to the band. And no, Im not trying to be an ass, but I just don't see it.

Being considered a member of the band that he has played on all but one of the albums for, and has toured with for longer than Alec. I know it won't happen but hey, what's life without dreams?

That's because some people don't need to try in order to be in ass.;)

(I jest, I jest.)

Given the input they seem to get, especially nowadays, I'd say Jon and Richie are the only truly irreplaceable members of the band (FWIW Dave is actually my favourite band member). As for Hugh being lifeless, I actually like that he just does his job with minimum fuss. I'd rather have a competent bassist around and leave the showponying to the front man/lead guitarist but maybe that's just me.:)

Agreed 100%.

Hugh is boring and he was never a rockstar. Did you ever hear a groupie talking about how good is Hugh in the bed? Nope, never.

I prefer Alec or even Bobby Dall or Nikki Sixx, they aren't the best bassists but they have attitude at least.

Best regards.

You all are right that he is just standing on the stage and playing. But he is not a touring member (like Bandiera). he plays on the records. And the band needs him, because a band needs a bassist (unlike lame guitarists who can't play a single solo).
And what his the reason to hide him?? Look at the layout now - it is ridiculous. Four people in the back and Jon in the front middle and Richie on his right and free space on the left. I don't see any little reason to do this. I kinda understood why they changed it for LH tour - they said they needed to balance it. But now?? they did the opposite!! I really hate changes lke this. They played for ages in a classic arrangement and from one day they need to add lame musicians and change the arrangement before every tour. I this meant as a breath of fresh air??? It would be better if Jon started to sing for a change...
