Why "One Wild Night" wasn't a single?
I'm talking about the 2000 version. This song destroys the shitty "Say It Isn't So". And of course, it rocked harder than "It's My Life".
I know it was later re-released for the live album, but it wasn't the same. They castrated the song in the remix. Best regards. |
I agree and I don't have no answer not.

Stupid marketing decisions! Nothing new in the BJ world...
|
I prefer own 2001 than normal vers. But both songs are really great.
|
I would have preferred to have had Just Older or Captain Crash as a single. They would have fared better than SIIS....

I will consult my magic cyrstal ball and get back to you

Yeah the Crush version was much better. There are too many artificial effects on the remix and it just makes it a bit too pop. The Crush version was a good song and would have done well as a single I think if released in 2000.

I really liked One Wild Night. I am not the biggest fan of Crush.I hated SIS and Captain Crash I can live without especially live. Singles since These Days miss the mark. Take for instance Bounce. I would have preferred Hook Me Up Undivided or Bring Me Back To Life better than Everyday and All About Loving You. The Distance was not pushed outside of Europe and Japan.

It didn't fit in with the poppy image the band were trying to market in 2000.
It would have bombed anyway, it's a throwback. |
I do way prefer it to the 2001 version, by far.
But that being said, I still think SIIS is one of the best singles the band has released in the last 10 years, and one of my favorites of theirs period. |
