LH Overrated By Bon Jovi? This is the story of an attack of a Backstagger...

So, last night I took to Twitter for the PBP because there wasn't much of a convo going here the previous night other than people posting the actual songs and I am a chatty little thing so I decided to Tweet it up. Plus I got a little tired of the bitching.

When Lost Highway came up in the PBP last night, one of my followers tweeted something that a backstagger just couldn't wrap her head around and over-reacted like some of them do and I thought is was rather funny and entertaining so I decided to share it with you all:

Twitter poster 1: Lost Highway, the song, is completely overrated by this band

Twitter poster 2: The song Lost Highway was a huge hit for this band

Twitter poster 1: Where was the song a hit?

Twitter poster 2: the song Lost highway was a huge hit for this band #bonjovi

Twitter poster 1: The only "hit" off of LH was Memory and I'd say it was a pretty moderate one.

Twitter poster 2: it was a hit in the US... and a very big one... sorry you disagree...

Twitter poster 2: and on radio stations that featured more than one decade...

Twitter poster 1: On what chart? Checking Billboard right now and don't see it on any chart, even the country one.

Twitter poster 1: Here's the link http://www.billboard.com/#/artist/bo...=379&g=Singles

Twitter poster 2: you know what? you can bad mouth any band, but you aren't gonna bad mouth Bon Jovi and get away with it here!

Twitter poster 1: I'm badmouthing the band? B/c I think they overrate a song?

Twitter poster 2: it's not overrated, since they haven't toured in 2 years

Twitter poster 1: Once again, I see the album made #1 around the world and I've never disputed that.

Twitter poster 1: The song itself however, wasn't #1 anywhere

Twitter poster 1: It gets played a ton b/c Jon loves it, he's made that very clear. That's fine but IMO he's written many better songs

Twitter poster 2: I gave out proof... now either be quiet and enjoy the pbp, or get out of here... alright...

Twitter poster 2: it gets played a lot because us fans like it too... or he wouldn't have played it so damn much!

Twitter poster 1: I'll continue to express any opinion I choose, Jovi related or not on MY Twitter. No one is forcing anyone else to read it.

Twitter poster 3: enough arguing already who cares

Twitter poster 2: thanks I'm trying to get him to stop arguing...

Twitter poster 1: she's the one who took it personally, like I was attacking one of her kids. Some people need to chill out

Could someone point me to where all the normal Bon Jovi people are for FFS?

Some people are willing to defend total crap simply because they love the people who made it. If theres one thing that irritates me, it's people who refuse to acknowledge that their fave artist will have written a shit song in their time. It's fine having differences of opinion, but when the person you argue with can't seem to get the point (as the twitter fan didn't) it can get bloody annoying.

lol at "I gave out proof!"

I follow both people on Twitter, and saw said exchange as well, with this being my absolute favorite part :

There's so much LOL worthy in that statement, and this comes from someone who likes the damn song, and doesn't mind it appearing from time to time.

It's funny because when the first poster makes a valid point, the person cannot make a valid argument back or just resorts to basically telling them to shut up.

I was the first poster last night. I couldn't believe that I was being told that I was "badmouthing the band" by saying that I think a song is overrated. Some peple really need to get a life. I've followed this band for 21 years, it is possible to have favorite and least favorite songs without being a "bad" fan.

Some people are just so far up the band's ass to realize that

Ignorance and pettiness come to mind.

I really like the song 'Lost Highway', so when you say it's over-rated, I take offence from that.

It really isn't possible to offend me just because you like a particular song and I don't.

There are lots of things that I might take offense at - but someone else's taste in music isn't one of them <sigh>
