Bon Jovi Were Turned Down to Play at Slane Castle
http://www.independent.ie/entertainm...1-2124735.html
I wonder what year Bon Jovi were turned down. Probably means they're never going to end up playing at Slane. Good, I say! Back to Croke Park next year or the new Aviva stadium! |
Excellent news!
Never want to have to go see them at Slane!!! Def back to Croke Park or Lansdowne! |
Why is a suddenly a good thing that Bon Jovi aren't playing Slane?
It attracts huge media coverage and would open the band up to a whole new demographic. |
Yeah, what's so bad about playing at Slane?
|
Because it's a nightmare to get to
|
Because Slane totally sucks.
To into, get out of, the venue, plus its not a proper Jovi show. |
:(
Looks like an amazing place, and I would have killed to see them there. Even the name alone attracts me. |
Salne is just terrible. Like others have said, it's horrific to get to and the venue itself is shit. It would be good for the media coverage alright but really that completely pales in comparison to the sheer hassel of coming and going from Slane.
I would much rather them lay in Croke Park again or the new Lansdowne road. Both are infinitely better venues and right in the heart of Dublin city. |

I just think the history and fanfare of the event itself would do a lot for the band, plus the atmosphere is out of this world. |
Good. As nice as the place looks - I am forever burdered with the horrible image of "Bryan Adam - Live At Slane Castle". Great performance, but horribly shot. Might have even ruined the entire of Ireland for me...makes me ashamed to be Irish. Stupid Bryan Adams.
