O2: any chance of finding tickets there?

Hi everyone!
I haven't bought any ticket for the O2 shows so far, 'cause I didn't know if I could make it in June.
But now I'm thinking of buying a last-minute plane ticket to London (the cheapest I can find), then going to the O2 to try and find a ticket for the concert right there. I remember that, back in 2007, there were many tickets still available at the venue (though they said it was sold out, and it was only ONE show...)
The question is: do you think it's gonna be the same this year? I'm willing to take the risk, but it would really suck if, once I get there, I couldn't find any ticket for the concert.
Thanks,

Leti

Yes. They're doing 12 shows, there'll be a shitload of tickets available. I wouldn't worry about that at all, and the longer you wait in front of the show the more the prices will drop.

Id be more worried about the plane being able to land in UK through the ash cloud than whether u will get tickets...

I'll probably do the same tweety. I think I want to see one show, but have no idea if I really REALLY want to see one...I probably do...but then again, I don't know...so I'll decide in front of the O2 on a weekend in June. Maybe see you there :)

Yeah, I'm at this stage getting worried about the band's plane being able to land!

I went to the box office in 2007 at about 3pm to see if I could get my dad a last minute ticket and they hadn't got any left at all. We were also keeping our eyes peeled for touts but never saw one - presumably keeping a low profile due to the heavier policing of the event. Can't imagine there were many (if any) still to be had on the day tbh.

With respect to the upcoming residency, I'd be willing to bet you'd easily get a ticket even if you turned up 5mins before doors.

Anybody know how many tickets(total) were sold so far??

Go to one of the dates in the weekend of 11 to 12 June. I'm going with Tom and Laura, it should be great fun to go out after the show and have a few beers.

Play.com have 1919 tickets left, which may not seem like that many but they only have a tiny share of the overall sales.

I'll be surprised if there isn't a last ditch attempt to shift more tickets by the management in the next few weeks. Some serious marketing / advertising needs to be done in the UK to get these shows anywhere near full.

It will be a calculated risk to leave it up to showtime to get a ticket, but at this stage it looks like you could bring you and half your town along.
