Jon, c'mon !

i mean forgetting the lyrics of never say goodbye and singing like a dog being beaten up to dead ? at least don't ask that astronomic amount of money per ticket !
i've said it once and i'll say it again, he should lower the key. it's better than sounding like he's about to cum or something.

How about just shut up? Eh?

I really don't ****ing get this. The NSG thing yes, though since it was an audible off a banner I'll cut him slack. As for the vocals, I really don't know what the hell you people are watching. Jon sounds miles above the LH Tour right now.

are u all on drugs ? can I have some ? how can he possible sound miles above better than he did on the LH tour ? I just can't hear it man. I'm not trying to get into the whole 'he cant hit the highs anymore' thing, im just saying that if they're demanding that much money from tickets they should at least put in more effort. and how bout YOU shut up KeepTheFaith2211 ? this is a forum, i'll say what I want. suck it.

does hitting very high notes mean singing better? It is not about singing higher but sounding well! And I think Jon has a clear voice, the nasality is gone, he breathes well (no longer making hissing sounds, panting, gasping for air etc) and holds long notes whenever required!

Jon sounded absolutely terrific on the European leg of the Lost Highway tour, and no, he doesn't sound "miles" better now. Maybe AS good, which is great, but definitely not better. The vocals on Dry County from Meadowlands is far worse than on a lot of versions from the Lost Highway tour.

That said, I still think his vocals are in very good shape, so I'm happy. :)

of course hitting high notes doesn't mean singing better. i agree with you.
but if one CAN'T hit those notes (which is perfectly natural for an almost-50 year old who has been smoking for the past 15) then why not lowering the key of certain songs even further ? people say they might sound flat but they never heard always, dry county and these days a full town lower, instead of just a half tone. i know this discussion has been going on for ages now, but the only reason I'm complaining it because people pay a lot of money to see that band !

I was there for 7 shows on the LH Tour. 3 at the start, 1 around the middle, and 3 at the end. Jon has sounded better over the last 2 nights than he did at any of those shows, including the 3 that ended the tour when Jon's voice was in top form.

don't get me wrong people, he's a terrific singer. he sings beautifully and holds notes longer than most singers in the world. his tone is amazing as well and he's breathing better, definitely.

Im gonna disagree here....i actually thought he sounded better in Philly and seemed MUCH more into it...speaking of night 1 only here....and he sounded great last tour as he does this tour...i would not say better but still as good as last year which was materially better than previous years...
