30 Second Interview with Jon on Radio 2

They just had a quick interview with Jon on Radio 2:

No two shows at the O2 will have the same setlist.

They have played around 50 songs so far this tour but that does not mean they are going to stop at that.

I have a bad feeling this means, to him, swapping Radio with Lost Highway and so forth.

Hmm

Yes, if they only change 2-3 songs a night that will add up to 35 more songs, which will take the full total into the 80 range but still be not what we were expecting!

What about the full album play throughs they promised?

They surely can't play 12 lots of that core set they played last night and expect people to be excited?
Out of the 12 shows I would expect 4 to be full album play throughs, 1 in every 3 shows should be wildly different. Maybe even an accoustic show somewhere - although with the lights, screens and robots all programmed upfront I'm starting to think there will be less flexibility that we were imagining.

I'm afraid your expectations are way off the mark. I wish it weren't so, but I'd be very surprised at developments anything like those you've mentioned.

They should be able to play a few albums in their entirety, just to remind people they still have balls left. There were 90 some songs programmed to the screen and lights, I would imagine that at least SWW, NJ and TC in their entirety would be among those.....

And yes, any set that has a full album could or should be at least 26 songs long to be able to make amends elsewhere.

Someone in another thread brought up Milton Keynes '96.

When people talk about looking forward to changes night to night, they know BJ can pull off something like this if they put their back into it (even if not TOO many songs changed, to really change up the order of the set and improve things from the night before. Y'know, jsut the *atmosphere* of the show was completely different one night to the next) -

NIGHT 1

1. Lay Your Hands On Me
2. Bad Medicine
3. All I Want Is Everything
4. You Give Love A Bad Name
5. Runaway
6. Diamond Ring (a capella)
7. Bed Of Roses
8. Rockin' All Over The World
9. Blood On Blood
10. Damned
11. Wanted Dead Or Alive (acoustic)
12. I'd Die For You (acoustic)
13. In These Arms (acoustic)
14. Something For The Pain
15. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
16. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
~ Papa Was A Rolling Stone
~ Jumpin' Jack Flash
17. Keep The Faith

-----------
18. (It's Hard) Letting You Go
19. Something To Believe In
20. Hey God
----------
21. Drift Away
22. Always
23. My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms
24. These Days
----------
25. Wild In The Streets
26. Livin' On A Prayer

NIGHT 2

1. Rocking In The Free World
2. You Give Love A Bad Name
3. Wild In The Streets
4. Something For The Pain
5. Hey God
6. Lie To Me
7. Rockin' All Over The World
8. Blood On Blood
9. Bad Medicine
~ Gloria
10. Wanted Dead Or Alive (acoustic)
11. I'd Die For You (acoustic)
12. In These Arms (acoustic)
13. Lay Your Hands On Me
14. Runaway
15. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
16. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
~ Papa Was A Rolling Stone
~ Jumpin' Jack Flash
17. (It's Hard) Letting You Go

19. Keep The Faith

Encore 1:
20. Always
21. Stranger In This Town
22. These Days

24. Damned
25. Blaze Of Glory
26. Livin' On A Prayer

I think a half-acoustic night is not unlikely. First, they promised it, secondly, they did it before (like Kiel 2003).

When did they promise a half-acoustic set?

I recall the comments about full albums and tracks from Bon Jovi and Fahrenheit before the tour started (which we all took as a "promises"), but I don't remember anything about a half-acoustic set . . . which would thrill me, of course!
