I'll be there for you (duet?)

Now:

Crush tour:

I really don't think this qualifies as a duet tbh, Richie has always be very vocally present on this song (more than others) and if it really wasn't a duet earlier, why is it one now, it doesn't look like anything has changed, maybe he sings back up in 2 or 3 more lines.

They do sing at the same mic, don't know if that's why it's called a "duet".
The true duet of this song was the TLFR version they did during the HAND tour...

I think it has to do with Richie taking a few more lines tan he used to, combined with the two of them alone out on the circle with one mic.

I fully agree, he doesn't sing any more lines compared to what he usually did but apparantly when you're sharing a mic you're having a duet. I don't understand why people haven't said that Diamond Ring was a duet though. Obviously it isn't, but oh well.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Diamond Ring has always been like that, so there's no need to differentiate it. IBTFY on the other hand has never been done just the two on one mic before, so I'd say there's a need to differentiate it.

I agree! They play it same as they did before 2003. Only sharing one mic. That's funny because for the next song, Richie gets his own...

If there is a need to differentiate such things, then let's call I'd Die For You from the Jersey tour as duet as well...

The one mic? It's so people like me can take pictures, okay? It's a chick thing . . .
