Dslr Camera

Hey guys! Sorry if this is in the wrong place. But whats the deal about bringing camera into the 02 arena.

I recently upgraded my little compact to a DSLR and wondering if i will be allowed to bring this in?

Thanks in advanced guys!

I went on the Thursday and the guy checked my bag and opened my camera case, its only a small one so was fine.

But on Saturday they didn't even ask me to open my bag

I guess it depends on who's checking.

The general rule of thumb is, 'no removable lenses'... but there's no guarantees either way to be honest. It really does depend on who you get at the gate.

I went to a concert with my Sony A200 (£200 DSLR) and some overpowered woman came over and removed me from my seat and took me downstairs in the lift to hand my camera in. They demanded to see my photos but didn’t make me delete them. I was given a ticket to reclaim the camera and missed nearly 20 minutes of the concert. Really annoyed at the time because they could not give me any T&C’s etc as to why they could do it.
I cant remember where I saw it but when I got my Jovi tickets I was sent (in email or post)or perhaps read on the site that the o2 only allow up to 35mm Cameras. Anything bigger and they wont let you take it in.
Clearly you may get away with taking it in but you may then find that you miss a few of your favourite songs and then spend 30mins at the end trying to get your DSLR back.

Probably not worth it tbh.

It depends on the guy checking your bag really. The first 3 concerts they didn't even look inside my bag but Sunday it was a different thing. The guy took EVERYTHING from my bag and even wanted to keep my Richie banner...I told him NO WAY I was going in without it. It was a very uncomfortable time. I also thought of bringing my DSLR but I am not going to risk it.

The rule in the U.S. is no professional cameras, and a pro camera is considered one with a removable lens. Of course, I know that some people have been able to get DSLRs in, but you do run some risk there.

here in Brasil they only care about the size of the camera...if its big, you wont get in lol
some of the security ppl doesnt even check your bag...
