is hugh on this tour??
 

sorry to be ignorant, but is hugh mcdonald on this tour? i was reading a dave interview on another thread and i don't know if i read wrong but has bobby bandiera replaced hugh this tour?

Both are playing with the band, but Bobbie are playing in the side of the stage where Hugh was playing before this tour (more closest to David), and now Hugh plays behind Sambora.

You can be sure that if that had happened, there's no way you'd be unsure about it because I'd be screaming blue murder in every single freaking post.;)

i wonder if there is any official reason as to why he isn't an official member? he's been around longer than alec ever was. i think he's shown a great amount of commitment.

It has been discussed million times. It is because of Alec. He was the original member, founding member. Hugh is a replacement. No matter how brilliant. My personal guess is that he even does not want to be a member. He is there just for playing and nothing else. They need him, so he has his place and on the other hand, he doesn't have to do the promo stuff and tv appearances etc.

I think he's got a pretty sweet deal. He gets to play bass in an awesome band, he probably gets paid A LOT, he knows he's needed because every band needs bass, and he doesn't have to go to interviews or photo shoots. I would be happy if I were him.

i always thought that! he's got the money, the thrill of touring and playing all over the world without being hassled for promotion, interviews, photoshoots etc. he's got it pretty sweet!!

the money is probably peanuts compare to what jon makes, and nuts compared to what the rest of the band makes.it's that simple.
