Can't go to the Winnipeg show
 

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it looks like I can no longer go to the Winnipeg show. You have no idea how bummed and pissed I am right now.

What happened?

Looong story. The person I was going with backed out and she had a lot to do with the plane tickets. So now I have two non transferable fan club tickets I can't use, that I've already paid for, and I'm stuck here.

Ring concert maps they should transfer them for you - they have done for me and others. Its worth a try if you know someone who would use the tickets.

Is there any other way you can garner transportation?

Even though they're through the fan club? They keep putting in bold and such NO REFUNDS EXCHANGES NO EXCEPTIONS but I shot them an email anyways.

Wrath, 'fraid not. I bought the tickets before I quit my job in Manitoba. Then I decided to come home and figured I'd fly back for the show because I was "stuck" with them. It's a 31 hours drive from here so boooo..I'm still trying to go but it ain't looking good.

Do you have any amount of money to play around with travel wise right now? There has to be some plausible method to get there short notice. At the very least- albeit the full story isn't my business, but- this chick who backed out shoulda left you the plane tickets if she knew it was going to leave you SOL.

That's totally part of it. She was going to put the tickets on her parents card because mine was maxed. So much time has passed that prices have shot right up. I have money but I'm jobless and dropping a grand on 2 last minute tickets to the show, I can't bring myself to do it. Especially when I'm seeing both Toronto shows. Reading this back, it's such a non-problem, but it's annoying the hell out of me. You're completely right though, I should be compensated because of her backing out.

I'm sorry! Could you afford to get yourself a plane ticket in any way? Maybe you could meet someone in Winnipeg who would buy the other fan club ticket.

Yeah, I mean if she said she had that side of it taken care of, led you to believe it was fine, then suddenly yanked the rug under you, it's her duty to own up to it. But as far as getting to the show is concerned, I can understand and see why you'd be reluctant to put more money down when you're already a grand in the hole. On the other hand, spending a little more money would make that grand spent worth something- but only if that little more money spent resulted in a travel plan that made sense. I looked at the drive from Hamilton to Winnipeg on Googlemaps; 22 hours if you go through parts of the states according to them. Wouldn't recommend that unless you have a capable vehicle. It would be a fun adventure though...

... your other option is to- assuming refunding definitely doesn't work- is to sell them through stubhub or something.
