Finally a multiple city show so I think there will be something special. Longer circle sets will hopefully return.

And Erik's pbp is not to be trusted! Sneaky bastard.

With a few days off will Jon's leg be better?

Probably not. This kind of injury takes longer than that to heal.

besides, the healing effect achieved by some 1-2 days rest (when they have a day off) is cancelled when he walks and dances on stage. Kind of a vicious circle. It is so with such injuries if you are not consistent in your rest.

It reminds me of a funny story which years ago my father told me about his friends. Some friends of his liked parties and had a great fondness for strong vodka. They were afraid that it would totally damage their livers. In an attempt to take care of the liver they were taking some medication. And then in the evening they were drinking, which totally cancelled the beneficial effects of the medicines :)

Use it Jon and give the crowd a longer set with no Vanilla in sight!

Exactly Carli - I don't give a shit if Jon dances and shakes his ass - I'd much rather have the non-vanilla setlist.

vanilla setlist ? Oh really ... I thought the shows were good solid 7/10 ;)
I hope Toronto will get some good songs ... as it's a multiple shows city it should be fine but Jon judge the setlist by the tickets sales and the way The Circle was received too and This cd didnt score in canada .. montreal got efforts put in the shows but they were still inside the 'beginning' of the tour mode let's see if Toronto is as lucky

There is a difference between a vanilla setlist and a poor show. My Philly night 1 was a vanilla setlist and yet Jon was on fire. I got to hear all the new Circle songs which I loved and I thought the show was fantastic.

A poor show might also have a vanilla setlist (or not) but it is a combination of poor vocals, too many screwups by Richie and not much energy coming off the stage from the band at all.

Apparently (from Seb's quick reviews) these Canadian shows are good compared to night 4 at Meadowlands but there is no doubt that the setlists are vanilla. We have gotten nothing like what the O2 shows in London got here in North America.
