Rocknation would tweet that if concertgivers want concertgoers to stop stealing music, they should remember that concertgoers don't have the extra money to spend in this economy. So stop charging so much for CDs and concerts, put out more music that's WORTH paying for, get rid of corporate monopolies, regulate the industry, and most important, fire concertgiver CEOs!

This guy is a joke with his stupid excuse .. make music concerts much more affordable for all and stop think it's like caviar =luxury product it has very little to do with cd sales this is a very bad excuse that is not at all an explanation ... stop being that greedy and things will be better for all

It's obviously not the only reason high ticket prices exist... but people really should obtain music legally imo.

The idea that ticket prices are somehow related to piracy makes no sense to me. They're too completely separate revenue streams. People who dl music illegally tend to still go see their favorite bands live. It's a totally different experience. One doesn't affect the other.

Maybe if the music industry wants fans to stop illegal downloads, they should stop putting out so much shit that isn't worth buying.

I disagree.

Bands are compensating for the lost CD sales revenue by hiking up ticket prices. The idea that you can make a lot of money out of selling music is almost dead so they need other streams.

Bands never make much money on record sales though - this has been true since forever.
