Why Did NJ Have To Contain Such Crap Songs?
I happen to think that New Jersey is one of the best albums the Jove have made. It's my second fave after SWW.
The only thing is, I have to skip two of the worst songs they have ever recorded - Ride Cowboy Ride and Love For Sale. Seriously, how do those songs fit on the album? I skip them everytime. I have heard less than 30 seconds of RCR and I turned it off and haven't listened to it since. I heard LFS once and hated it. These are the only two songs that ruin the album for me. Opinions? Hopefully someone feels the same. |

I think this is where Jon and Richie's talents shine through on acoustic songs. If your looking for 'crap' Jovi just look at some of the more recent songs on Crush and Lost Highway etc. |
I love those songs too for the same reason as Joviforever.
People sometimes forget that they were young guys when this album was recorded. Love for Sale is like a little gem for me. I can picture them having a few beers, picking up the guitars and just playing it and having a fun night. |
How can you not like LFS is beyond me,let alone how you hate it

both really good songs...its a shame BJ don't do that kind of stuff more often on their recent records

Love For Sale is a great song. RCR is ok, it sounds pretty bad because of the way it was recorded (in mono - whose moronic idea was that?)
|
I think RCR is 'special' and maybe 'too' special because the way it was recorded (that sound is not really pleasant to listen to) for me I admit it is not even a song but a sort of "moment" they had in the studio they decided to keep so I never considered that one as a song
I love Love For Sale though ...for me imo it's a great fun song |
Both fantastic Bon Jovi songs that I'd love to see more similar to it. Much better than The Circle crap about politics, social problems and other shit.
