Something to believe in 2010

A quick question really, in the performance of STBI at the o2 what happens in the final shout of "Something to believe in"?

At 4.10 on this vid: Jon enters into the big "Something to believe in" shout but before saying "to believe in" he says something (about 4.19 on the video). Is it his voice screwing up or is he saying a word (It sounds like he's saying "Something, anything to believe in" to me).

Any ideas?

Yeah, he realises he's not going to be able to sustain the note so he drops out early and puts 'anything' in there just to fill the empty gap. It strikes me as something they probably pre-planned though as he didn't even really try to sustain the note for that long.

Its strange.... he did the scream before the solo part... and I think that the pre-solo scream wasn't planned, hearing the beat from Tico

Yeah that sounds feasible, he might have been able to hit it if he has pushed it a bit.

He says, "I need something, gimme anything, to believe in". He does it in the acoustic version from 2003 as well.

I reckon that's better than electric. I know Jon's voice was bad the but the atmosphere of the 2003 acoustic performances is something special.
