"NICKELBACK", "ALL ABOUT LOVING YOU", people saying it's mature, when it's no doubt some juvenile piece of crap.
I'm out. |

"Say it isn't so" and "Misunderstood" are nice pop-rock songs and I enjoy them. The main difference is that these two songs are just litte pop songs (with some clever lyrics) and that's it. "What do you got" tries to be meaningful with some long known phrases and it fails. |

Lyrics are the most banal pile of shite I've ever read. They feature in variations in about 1000 other Bon Jovi songs, and it's like Jon & Richie have just strung together a bunch of key phrases from their recent songs.

Uhm.
Yeah I know, it will grow on me, I will like it, but... the song just isn't good enough for a GH, especially a lead single!!! It's an average song that could've been a filler on the last three albums. Plus, it sounds just like anyone else out there in radio world. Doesn't have anything remarkable that tells you it's unique Bon Jovi. That's why it sucks. It sounds like the little brother of "Walk Like A Man" with "Welcome To Wherever You Are" kinda lyrics. Been there, done that. It screams "formula", and "play me on the radio, please", and "houswives, shake your asses". I'm not gonna be proud of this coming from my favourite band. Especially those lyrics... mature? Wannabe. |

Less embarassing than "Welcome To Wherever You Are", but even less insipred too, if that makes sense. |
What do u got it's a nice song but without soul... .
and i don't understand the solo and the part before the solo... . nothing, another reason to believe in, walk like a man, etc.... were much better. |
I can't really add anything to what hasn't been said over and over. I did think Nickelback meets Welcome To Wherever You Are right off. I won't deem it horrible... just... whatever. It's easy listening and probably will embed itself in the brain of anyone hearing it over the radio, but I'm not sure it's the kind that makes them run to get the album.
It makes We Weren't Born To Follow shine so much brighter as a first single. |
this place (jovitalk) is interesting for THAT ... it's not just yeah it's crap of YAY it's great it evolves and a lot of people post very different and varied opinions that are all valuable
I like the song but I am not exactly the reference of a musically educated listener i am just a fan that need a song to be catchy (not a beat thing it's something else It has to remain in my head if it does so then I like the song -most of the time --) I like that new song it's very pleasant to the ears and I like the lyrics better than usual .....better than I wanna be your supermeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhnnnn tonight (that nasal sound on man just irks me) is it earth shattering lyrics because of the poesy and the originality ? NO but still I love it for what it is .. a song now unfortunately I am not sure bon jovi will ever be able to make again songs I will FEEL real emotion for with that speacial atmopshere in the tone in the way it is sung ...until 2000 the jovi songs moved me even if the message was cheap-ish it was moving to my ears it was talking to me ..I felt some soul in it ... today I have to not miss one show to make sure I will not miss the few times where Jo (and richie) will genuinely be into the song and not playing a role and will have a great time I have not lost hope though I was not at all expecting ANYTHING good with this single I admit I am happily surprised ...but reading the not too happy opinions here honestly I cannot say I don't know what they mean neither ... I am happy because I was not expecting anything good maybe if I was having my hopes high I would then have been disappointed after the first listen |
also thank you for the fans who posted the lyrics here for me it's never easy to catch them perfectly .. to have them here helped a lot ... thanks for taking time to do that for us ...
