Replace it with Keep The Faith, I'd say.

And on a different note: if the second disc is supposed to be packed with "fan favorites" – why not include Dry County? It's THE fan favorite. But, like I said earlier, I really can't be all that bothered with the tracklist. We already knew they'd make a couple of idiotic decisions anyway.

Adam D 09-14-2010 01:47 AM

If you pre-order, are you charged right away or when it ships?

This has been discussed a couple times.

1.It's too long of a song to be included.
2.It's not everybody's favorite. I like it, but it's not my favorite.

ticos_stick 09-14-2010 02:32 AM

Including WWWB in The album is absurd.

powernoize 09-14-2010 02:56 AM

it is longer 4:23 is the time to be exact.

powernoize 09-14-2010 03:00 AM

It should be available immediately, as in right now, for anybody who preorders the album

my bad I thought it was available later with the GH I WAS WRONG it's not later it's NOW
yes it is available right now ..it's a longer version than the mp3 floating around ....

like vilevalo said 4:23

yomamasofat 09-14-2010 05:00 AM

Bounce is now officially the 7800 of the new era.
Can't believe they didn't include anything from these two albums.
Can't believe that nothing from LH made it to the first disc, I thought that's their favorite CD!
Surprised that only 1 song represented Crush.
Using this track listing somehow implies that KTF, TD and LH are all FAN FAVORITES ALBUMS!
Putting SIBSN in disc 2 pretty much renders Crossroad obsolete.
Including WWWB = LOL.

They need to add This Is Our House as a hidden track in the deluxe edition!

At least they got BOBITA in the tracklisting. They now just have to play these 2 songs in every show after the GH release.
Also it's good that they included THE BEST version of WSYCGH.

ALL HAIL THE 80s!!!!!

Savvi 09-14-2010 07:09 AM

Not the best tracklisting. I would have made it...

Disc 1
- Runaway
- Prayer
- Bad Name
- Wanted
- Bad Medicine
- Keep the Faith
- Bed of Roses
- Always
- This Aint A Love Song
- It's My Life
- Have a Nice Day
- Who Says You Can't Go Home
- Make a Memory
- We Werent Born to Follow
- What Do You Got?
- No Apologies

Disc 2
- Only Lonely
- I'll Be There For You
- Born to be My Baby
- Blaze of Glory
- In These Arms
- Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
- These Days/Something for the Pain
- Thank You For Lovin Me
- Everyday
- Lost Highway
- This Is Love, This Is Life
- The More Things Change

To me it makes more sense... not so much with the second disc being a fan favourites but more of a complete greatest hits overall.

Every album SHOULD be part of the compilation and Bed of Roses SHOULD be on disc 1.

Crushgen24/88 09-14-2010 07:44 AM

Not a good tracklisting, but not as bad as I thought it would be either. The Two-Disc edition gives a pretty good sampling of the different sounds the band has had over the years.

Savvi 09-14-2010 07:54 AM

Also, as a side note... $15.99 US for the Ultimate Collection is a pretty good price IMO.

I see where you're coming from, but I'm not buying that. In that case, November Rain would be "too long of a song" to be included on a Guns N' Roses collection. Same goes for Estranged. (Even though I obviously know that those two songs were bigger hits than Dry County, but that's not really the point.)

November Rain is not a good example because it's a legit hit. I don't know what GNR collection you have, but my GNR greatest hits doesn't have Estranged in it. I think Estranged is their Dry County.

I don't own their official collection, but that's a horrendous decision in that case.

And I honestly don't believe that the length of a song would scare anyone. Especially not when it's ten minutes of pure quality. Plus, Jon obviously knows that the song means a lot to a huge part of the fanbase. Why else would he play it at special occasions (almost exclusively at Giants Stadium in the states, for example) and release a somewhat mediocre version on the DVD?

Ah, well. I never expected it to be included anyway.

The GNR hits were a bit of a farce. 5 songs were covers.
They should have put gems like Locomotive, Estranged & Coma on - but they didnt - but those 3 songs would have clocked up nealry 30 mins of music!!

In the UK Estranged didnt do as well as Dry County. But DC didnt do as well as November Rain.

I think Disc 1 on the BJ ultimate just shows how average the band have been since after KTF.

Also the idea of the 2nd disc being a fans favourite is a bit of waste of time. This album isnt aimed at fans - its aimed at casual fans who may own 1 or 2 albums.

Crushgen24/88 09-14-2010 11:03 AM

Judging by the price points, I think the two-disc set is going to the main one that they're going to try and push on all consumers, from die-hards to casuals. Similar to the Foo Fighters. There were two editions of their GH released, but the CD/DVD edition is the main one most stories carry.

bonjovifreak 09-14-2010 11:27 AM

The bonus track for Japan is Tokyo Road. Its on disc 1.

Thanks for clarifying that. I thought there was more. I went to pre-order it and with shipping its almost $25. I think I'll buy the Jap import then.

eddie73 09-14-2010 12:47 PM

Cant understand why "everyday" aint on there, surly they should represent at least one track of " Bounce ". Wasn't "everyday " a hit in Europe?. It got to number 5 in the UK and pretty sure it was a number 1, in some place and top 10 in the rest Europe. Or is it cause it flopped in the states

Bounce is still my favourite record they have done

I know, it just doesnt make sense. The song even went to #1 in Canada for crying out loud. They didnt even need to replace a song on the tracklist considering it is a 3 minute long song.

Looks only Japan is getting songs from 7800 Album

loquitoalex 09-14-2010 07:17 PM

I am very disapointed by the setlist of the greatest hits. No Ktf-songs, no theses days-songs and nothing from bounce... I can't believe they put one more New Jersey song than on Crossroad. That's ridiculous. That just say that for them the only two albums they consider great are SWW and NJ. All the rest is not good enough. That's a pitty... I mean KTF and These Days are great albums with songs like Keep the faith, Bed of roses and This ain't a love song which must make any Greatest hits. So nothing from the 90's and just 4 songs from the last decade. So the last 20 years doesn't really count in the career of Bon Jovi. Last critic: how can they put two songs from HAND and none from Bounce... Everyday is a lot better than HAND...
Don't know if I'll buy the GH... Bon Jovi's career ended 1990... or not?

So did you expect every Bon Jovi hit to be included in a single disc?

Only 12 songs on CD2 is a bit disappointing, unless the new tracks are long epics, they really could hvae chucked in another couple of songs or even DC.

JoviForever 09-14-2010 08:41 PM

Although I like WWB I can't understand why it's on a Greatest Hits when it didn't even get a proper release as a single!

Tearin_it_up 09-14-2010 08:48 PM

I can't believe only one song from Crush. Kick off "We Weren't Born to Follow" Bump up "Keep the Faith" and add a fast song like "One Wild Night" Otherwise this package is too full of slow and/or acoustic songs. :morning:

That was my first thought when I read the 2nd disc track list. I like all of those songs, but their arrangement does not create an exciting ebb and flow. It gets to be "ok, another slow song... next!"
