Why so much hate for "Live Before You Die" ?
 

Its not my fave song on "The Circle" granted, but I think its quite a nice song with some pretty powerful parts to it. So why has most people labelled it an album stinker ?:o

I like the musical arrangement of the song pretty much, but the lyrics are for the most parts so shallow and cliché that it almost hurts.

I like the song, and the lyrics a lot. A lot of people tend to not like the "story-telling" aspect.

Though once on backstage I read that someone said it was as good as IMAGINE from Lennon ...

Like it a lot. A catchy song and the " You learn to love..." part is really powerful ! Shame they haven't tried it out live :(

Just listened to the song because of this thread, and I must say I really do love the second verse.

Was a song I didn't really like when I first had 'The Circle' but then I played it more and I realised some of the good stuff about it.

Jons vocals on the 'You fighttttt and you forgiveee' part sound very very good.

When the album first came out, it was one of my favourite tracks from the album. It was a bit slow starting, but the climax of the song was great and I really enjoyed it.

Now, I still enjoy it but the novelty has worn off a bit. I dont hate it by any means. I like it more than I dont like it. It just got a bit old really quickly.

The "Gotta learn to love to live" part is amazing.

6/10. I don't dislike it, but it's a pretty average sounding song with a really powerful bridge, that, unfortunately, doesn't have much of a song to back it up.

I just heard it today actually. It's one of those songs that while it's good and I have nothing agains't it, I find myself skipping it for some reason that just escapes me :?
