In what order did you buy/get your Bon Jovi albums?
Found this cool thread on Aerosmith's site and thinks it's a funny topic to fill out because it tells a lot on how you became a fan, when and how you were introduced to their music
For me it has been: KTF Slippery New Jersey Bon Jovi 7800 Fahrenheit ... after that it were all the albums in the order they came out. Cheers, Elvistico |
Have we done this before? I feel like we have. In any case:
1. Slippery When Wet / One Wind Night Live: 1985-2001 (Both on the same day in August 2001) 2. Crush / Bon Jovi (Both on the same day in April of 2002) 3. Cross Road / Bounce (Both on the day Bounce was released in October of 2002) 4. New Jersey (December 02) 5. Keep The Faith (January 03) 6. These Days (August 03) 7. 7800* Fahrenheit (October 03) 8. This Left Feels Right (November 03-Day of Release) 9. Stranger In This Town (January 04) 10. 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong (November 04-Week of Release) 11. Have A Nice Day (September 05-Day of Release) 12. Lost Highway (June 07-Day of Release) 13. Destination Anywhere (July 07) 14. Young Guns 2 Soundtrack (August 07) 15. Undiscovered Soul (April 09) 16. The Circle (November 09-Day of Release) Some of the stuff (namely TD and the Solo records I had burned copies of before I got them proper) |
I got New Jersey and SWW on the same day back in 1988.
A few weeks later I got Bon Jovi and 7800 on the same day. After that, I got them as they were released. |

Mine was a strange order.... I didnt even know much about the band's previous albums until I was a fan for a few years...
1. Cross Road [2004] 2. Have a Nice Day [2005] 3. Lost Highway [2007] Then between August and September of 2007 I bought the rest of the studio albums (that were released at the time). I remember the day I bought them all, except Slippery and New Jersey for some reason. I remember listening to These Days and thinking it wasnt as good as the other I heard . I must admit, These Days was the album that took me longest to get into. The order was something like... 4/5. Bon Jovi/7800* Fahrenheit [2007] 6. Bounce [2007] 7. New Jersey [2007] 8. Slippery When Wet [2007] 9. These Days [2007] 10. Crush [2007] 11. Keep the Faith [2007] Keep the Faith was last because I had to order it in. Keep the Faith was also the album I loved quickest. The first time I listened to it I loved nearly all the songs straight away. After seeing them in concert in January 2008, I went and bought 12. One Wild Night [2008] 13. This Left Feels Right [2008] 14. 100,000,000 Fans [2008] Although I didnt actually buy TLFR or the Box Set. TLFR was given to me by a friend who bought it, thinking it was their greatest hits  ... And the Box Set I got for my birthday by my sister. 15. Stranger In This Town [2009] 16. The Circle [2009] 17. Undiscovered Soul [2010] 18. Young Guns II Soundtrack [2010] Still am yet to get Destination Anywhere. Its been a great ride! |

So, Lost Highway was the album that reeled you in? |
My brothers used to buy all the albums in the 90's so I didn't have to buy any. My first purchase was Crush in 2000, then each album as they came.
|
Cross Road - Late 04, my parents had a copy and I heard it and decided to buy my own
HAND - Week of release Crush - October 05 KTF - November 05 Bounce - July 06 These Days - April 07 The Circle - January 2010 I never really realized the gap between 07 and now. |

My first Jovi show was night 3 of the Prudential run on October 28, 2007. I told my friends and co-workers that it was my "mid-life crisis" trip! LOL Obviously that mid-life crisis is still going strong. |
Let's hear it for mid-life crisis Terri :D
I'll just copy and paste my response from that long ago thread (there sure are a lot of ghosts in that thread) I started with New Jersey which I stole from my son after I heard it blasting out of his room. I have long since bought my own (multiple) copies. I went back for Slippery right away after listening to New Jersey and then I got the rest in chronological order. Sometime after I bought Slippery I went back and bought Bon Jovi and 7800 but I don't remember exactly when - not too long after. I haven't always bought singles in order though. To this day I will find something or other on e-bay that I never bought and I'll purchase it used. |
