I know it has been some time but.........
 

I would really be stoked if Jovi did another "cowboy" song.

They have two rippers in Wanted (which of course was about touring but still cowboyish) and BOG (which has basically been inherited now as a band song) and I think a third would make an awesome trilogy.

Now I know they did "cowboy" type songs on Lost Highway, but they seemed to have a more modern redneck vibe and not the romanticism of the Wild West that these two great songs had.

A really mature approach to it (unlike Put the Boy back...) would make it an instant fan classic and a return to their roots, so to speak, and would make it a nice book end.

But I suppose it would end up being about a Cowboy "living his life" "everyday" and "believing the sun will shine tomorrow"..........

Any thoughts????????

I was very disappointed that Lost Highway wasted the opportunity to do something like this. Take Richie's amazing acoustic skills and throw in some harmonica, bada bing bada boom :2gunfire:

I've always considered Wild Is The Wind as the third.

Stick To Your Guns have to be considered as a cowboy song.

Would be cool if they tried to write a new, real cowboy song. But honestly I don't think they could do it. They are to much into the pop genre now.

I think they tried to make a cowboy Song out of Right Side of Wrong. It's kinda like Wanted in the way that it compares some modern day bank robbers to Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid who where old fashioned cowboy train robbers.
