Observation-WWWB and Matchbox 20
 

It just has a very similiar start...
Ok ye know When We Were Beautiful..
Now have a listen to the start of Matchbox 20's If Your Gone

It's almost uncanny...
However, I think If You're Gone is a great song. I've never realized the similarities, though.

Yeah first few seconds are indeed similar.

Uncanny. The beginning is similar but as the song progresses, If You're Gone is a good song and WWWB is a weak ass crap.

I never noticed but If You're Gone is a GREAT SONG compared to WWWB

If Your Gone is ten times the song WWWB is. The album it's taken from is superb too. Mad Season, download it.

very very similar. such a great song and such a great band. you guys seen them live? rob thomas has some of the best live vocals ive ever heard. but yes back to bon jovi ;)

Milton Keynes 2001 - Matchbox 20 were support act for BJ and I've not seen a support act that good EVER!!!!

Thats how i came accross it ,was listening to Mad Season(brilliant Album) when the start of If Your Gone came on and i had to double check that it hadnt skiped to WWWB....Even the Tom sound is there very low in the mix

I saw Matchbox Twenty supporting Bon Jovi in 2001 in Dublin.

They almost blew Jon and they boys away. I went out of that show really impressed, I bought their previous albums and fell in love. They have never written a dud song.

Excellent live too.
