'I Want To Be Loved'
Sorry for yet another song thread, but I very, very rarely see this one get mentioned. It's like a forgotten song. Maybe that answers my question already but:
What do people think of this song? I think it wouldn't go too far to say it's a favourite of mine. It has a dirty electric feel which makes it sound really good and I think, while the lyrics are really simple and a bore for some people probably, it gives a simple message and it's just a great song in general. The 'solo' or whatever it is is pretty nice and the song has a decent flow for me. Definitely one of the highlights of this decade for me. So: Love it/Like it/not bothered/dislike it/hate it? |
I like it. I like the chorus alot. It doesn't get mentioned nearly enough around here. It's a great song from a great album, and I think could've done well if it were released as a formal single. I don't like how the song ends, however. So I just edited the end so it just fades out the riff.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that this song played an integral part in getting me through my last year of high school. I don't listen to it as much nowadays but I still think it's a great song and it'll always have a special place in my heart.

I love the studio version- right from the first time I listened to HAND, its been a favourite from the album for me. However, when I saw them play it at Glasgow on the HAND tour, it just sounded...eeeh. Definately something missing, and that's always tainted the song for me since then, which is a shame.

I love this song. One of my HAND favourites :)

I fell in love with it first time I listened to the HAND CD and it sill holds up. Love the lines "ready to try, willing to lay it on the line". Dissappointed me live though :(

I LOVE that song ..one of my favorite of the cd

I'm a pretty big fan of the song. I wouldn't say I love it it but it's one of my more listened to tracks off of HAND.

I think this an Novocaine are my 2 stand out's from Hand

I like it, it's got good lyrics (especially in the second verse), and a good sound. It fits in well on the album as well, bridging HAND and Welcome To Wherever You Are. The only problem I have with it that stops me loving it is that it's musically very simple ... some other songs on HAND are more interesting
