Is it possible that they'll sellout the Hyde Park show?
Okay, maybe "possible" is not the right the word, off course it's possible, but is it likely? I mean, they've done 12 London shows last year and plus it's a festival so I think it won't sell as good as proper Jovi shows. The strongest argument against it would be I've heard that this year out of all 3 headliners (Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney) only Pearl Jam was sold out. And I don't think that Bon Jovi are bigger than Paul McCartney, especially in the UK. So do you think it will sellout eventually?
I'm asking that because I'm looking at Hyde Park as the most possible date for me to see Jovi next year. However, I'm only 16, I can't hurry, I need to persuade my parents which won't be quick, so I'm afraid if tickets will still be available. Half emty Twickenham, 12 O2 dates and this year's festival statistics give me hope, but you never know... |
I would expect tickets to still be available in about 6 months time.
At worst, it could "sell out" in the next 7 days, but they always release production seats closer to the gig date. |

That's besides the point though. There will be space that the organisers think will be taken up by various equipment, that ultimately doesn't get used. This usually results in extra tickets going on sale. |

Sorry for being a little stupid, but I still don't understand what you're saying. I don't go to concerts abroad, so I'm not very aware of all the concert "terms". |

They are selling 2 VIP packages, one with standard GA ticket, and another with seats in a temporary grandstand. Every concert has what is classed as "production seats". These are seats that the promoter anticipates not being able to put on sale due to the size of stage etc. However, once the final design of the stage is decided, they often find that they can free up these areas and sell more tickets - which is why you then find a bunch more become available closer to the date of the concert. |
You should be fine for Hyde Park Calling for plenty of time. You may even get some cheaper on Ebay nearer the time. The only thing you will need to look out for is any other bands added to the Saturday lineup and whether it will cause more tickets to be shifted or they have a large fanbase to buy tickets.
