Certifications...
Now im not completely sure on this, but I think that they base it on shipments not actual sales so certifying it platinum before it hit 300,000 was just to recognise 300,000 shipments and not sales, and just to confirm sales sit at 364,000 in the UK.
And a quick question, it was on all the websites this year that TC was certified platinum in the states, then it was taken away and has gone back to gold, does anyone have total sales figures for TC in the states? |

thanks
Yes, I did read it on a site tht was quoting billboard, so I thought it was reliable but then it got changed, and I think it will be at around 800K now as the last official figures I saw was about 650,000 about 6 months ago. I think I must find out now.

Slipped out of the top ten to No.11 in the Tuesday update (1 day sales) for the UK this week, however the position has usually picked up as the week goes on. Position may fall, but sales are usually strong in the xmas chart this week.

A lot of people got confused with whether The Circle went gold or platinum in the states. This is because on the Jovi website, there was an article saying the album had reached platinum status. I believe the band recieved a framed platinum disc of the album as well at one of the concerts. What a lot of people didnt realise was that it was a concert in Canada (cant remember which one). The band received the award from Canada where it did reach Platinum status, not in the US.

Certifications
http://www.museumstuff.com/learn/top...Certifications (obviously false)
this states it platinum, but even with presales it could of only sold 750,000 copies or there abouts by now, I would like some figures on how it got to 88th of 2010 considering sales were only in the vicinity of 4-10,000 after the new year. Many sites are still listing that poor old bounce was the only album not to be certified platinum by the RIAA, least the circle joins it, but surely people liked bounce more? |

You can put in there the circle bon jovi and you'll get the result from RIAA itself the circle is GOLD |
So what are we up to around the world with certification? So far I can see that it is...
Australia - 2x Platinum UK - Platinum Germany - Gold Japan - Gold Poland - Gold Portugal - Gold New Zealand - Gold EDIT: This is for the Greatest Hits, not the Circle |
